Who's had/bought a wedding postbox? If so what have you gone for?

There are the handmade ones either pillar style or chest style, usually done in the colour scheme you had. Or theres the proper cast iron ER Royal Mail ones to hire, Ive found one for around £30 by me, but not sure if its worth the money? Id like something slightly different to everyone else, and thought this was quite quirky?

Thoughts? Or have you gone for something completely different such as suitcases, wicker baskets or a wishing well?

I saw the royal mail style post box and thought it was really cool, but for me not really worth the money as we only wanted to spend a small amount on it really. We went for one off Ebay, its made from card and really good quality. It was only £6 and has a personalised message on it, ribbon round it and a dangly heart made from gems on the front. Looks much more than £6 and will do exactly what we want! x

I'm getting stacking gift boxes, hopefully in my colour scheme but if not I'll wrap them in nice wrapping paper. I'll then glue them all together, cut out the middles of the smaller boxes to allow the cards to go through and cut out a flap in the top one

We got a wooden wishing well for our cards and after the wedding will plant some daffodil in as they are my wedding flowers.

Told h2b last night about the red and white Royal Mail boxes to hire. He loved the red one so we've booked it! Impulse booking but not one that I regret! Very happy with it :) xx

I saw those chests and found a lovely one. I already have a wedding box to put all my keepsake stuff in so didn't really want another box to keep so this was ideal for us :)

We've asked for money too Vickie, h2b preferred the red one over the white one. Ours was £30 hire fee and £50 security deposit that we get back x
