I can't really help hun, only thing I would say is give them a call and ask, as different areas of the country seem to have different rules xxx

You wouldnt have to give notice again but you'd have to repay the registrar deposit you've paid (well thats what they do in Manchester) x

When we went, they told us we would have to give notice again if the venue changed, but that might vary from district to district xx

When we gave notice years ago(!) we had to give the name and address of the venue we were getting married in, in Las Vegas! SO I'm guessing anyone getting married in the UK would have to do the same. When we got the magic blue paper through, it was on there. Therefore, my assumption would be that you would have to give notice again, or at least pay an admin fee of some sort to get it amended (any chance to take more money off you)!

You should check with the registry office I guess, but I think you have to re-give notice to marry :s You might just lose your deposit, or have to pay a small fee to change the details. They might be really good and let you give notice again but not charge you the whole amount over again. Have you paid the full fee to them? I would suggest ringing them to find out how much it will set you back plus any other other complications, such as deposit lost on current venue....then decide if it's really worth it to get your dream venue. Is your current venue that bad? ...and why is the dream venue that cheap now? has it gone down hill? The day will be special wherever you have it, it's about you two :) Plus you could always renew your vows in the dream venu a few years on, it might be even cheaper ;)
