Wedding Forum - Hair Trial (pics in album)...

So as some of you already know whenever I go to my hairdressers we test out different ways of curling my hair and then I have to let her know via bookface - yes we are THAT close haha - how long its lasted for.
It takes me 40min to get home from my hairdressers, its normally completely dropped out by the time im home!
And I really don't want to go down the straight route as thats normal, nor do I want an up do as never wear it up and my hair is most definitely a self conscious hide behind sort of thing for me! And considering I shall be centre of attention, I need hair around me!

I can't go in with an idea because my hair has a life of its own, very thick and naturally wavy and doesnt comply with the 'norm' so me having a definitive idea of my hair is a no no as if cant do then what! more of a case of my hair decides, not me!

So the only alternative was WAY tighter curls - which will lose the length ive been trying to grow for so long now (even avoiding straighteners which were my life!) & the style most brides go for with curls and I don't like the tight curls. I prefer the softer look.

So yesterday I had a normal hair cut and more of a real trial!
Tighter curls,but not the extreme, that dropped whilst I was there I admit, but no where near as much as normal! And still held up until 8ish last night, bar a few hands through it, messing around, windswept & hot stresses when I was in car (unexpected motorway journey, sat nav didnt work, using sat nav on phone then battery on phone hit 10% and red when i was half hr away... etc) but was still going!

Just had to share, I defo needed some good news the way this week is going!

It mainly always drops around the front side so pulling those back also hides the top 'roots' where the curl normally drops immediately and held really nice! obviously wont have the elastic band on the day.
And also added a pic from 8ish where it had pretty much dropped out but then obviously on day can tidy it up in the gap between day/evening parts and also wont have windswept, stressful driving situations to work with!

Next time I go in she'll focus on this style and do it without messing and time how long it lasts nice for!
Just happy my hair complied for once! And glad we 99.9% found the style!

Only got 2 more hair cuts/sessions before the big day.... holy moly!!! xx

I had two long curly bits either side of my face and the hairdresser wound them into a circle and put a clip onto them and said to let them down just before.

haha love it GF! mine usually ends up worse than that after 1 hr! as in by time i get home from the hairdressers its completely gone so the fact it went like that by 8hrs later is a very good sign!!!
had to wash it today thou, so much hairspray and rubbish in it!!! x

Well like I said im really close with my hairdresser, not as close as friends but have known her since i was born, she does my whole family ! when i was born my dad ran up the salon steps to let her know theyve had a little girl and how much i weighed etc!
and me and bro always listen to her over our mom etc!
When i was younger and wanted to dye my hair, or did it behind moms back it was always a 'oh god what will my hairdresser say' not 'oh god moms gonna shout'....

So she will be invited to the evening part - she doesnt know yet, and tbh if i got the numbers would love for her to see me get married as well. I would much prefer to have her there than my aunts sisters husbands great nieces cousin type thing! we shall see.
So she will be able to do some touch ups if necessary :D xx

Aw thanks GC. she is indeed! she doesnt do call outs or sunday appointments, normally brides have to get hair done at the salon but shes making an exception for me! bless her. got to find her a really nice TY gift as she is also doing a heavily discounted rate too!
she doesnt know shes invited yet. will wait till she gets the invitation!

Ah see thats the bit i knew i didnt want, the height! haha. Yeh i showed her my dress picture and she said it would look perfect as soft and 'pretty'... like the innocent i am!! pahahah xx

it looks gorgeous, the bonus of hair pieces is they hold the curl really well so even when your hair starts to drop the clip ins will still be really curly. my hair is pretty thin so i wear clip ins on nights out so it adds thickness and the curl in them always lasts where my hair drops. i buy 2 boxes of hair dye so i can dye my hair and the extensions so they match identically x
