Right all heres hoping you can help me again,

Ive been looking at my flowers the only thing i dont have is the church flowers as when i went to the florist these were so expensive.

So after looking at everyone else and what they are paying is giving me a headache. Cause where we are everything we have we have to include 20%VAT at the end.

Some people are saying i was only 500 for the lot etc yeah and so would i have been too but ive got to add on 20%vat.

Anyway what im meaning to ask is the church flowers, is anyone getting married in a church? If so what are you having as flowers, decorations? or are you not having any?

I'm not getting married in a church so not much help, but can't you use your flowers for your venue for your church as well? Or is that not possible x x

I got married in a church. The flowers at our Church could only be arranged by the church flower comittee so we couldnt have used our own florist-even sashes and bows for pew ends had to be arranged through them.It was also a requirement that any flowers for the Church to be left as a 'gift to the Church' after the ceremony so you couldnt re-use them at the venue. The flowers were competitively priced but we decided that the church was beautiful enough without flowers and no pressure was put on us to have any. However we then found out that regardless their was always a display at the front and rear of the church plus depending on when we were getting married any other couples flowers would still be there! The vicar advised us at the rehearsal that the couple who were getting married on the Sat(we got married on Friday) were having flowers and that the comittee did them on a Thursday so they would be in place for our wedding on the Friday furthermore because we werent having flowers the other couple had to have ivory flowers so as not to clash with our colour scheme!
Obviously we didnt ask for any of this but i did feel a bit bad that we got the benefit of their flowers a day earlier!
Find out from the Church what they provide/what their requirements are before you decide. xxx

Aww how nice that you got your flowers already, and yes I suppose on the day you won't notice lots of small details as you will be so happy gazing at your new husband x x

I am getting married in a church and have a medium sized pedestal at the front on the church which will be collected by the best man at the end and taken to the reception so it can be used as decoration there. Have you asked about the church committee doing flowers? The committee in my church said they would do it, they grow their own flowers so would smell lovely and weren't that expensive.

I'm getting married in the church, the church is beautiful inside so we decided not to have flowers .. Were putting the extra money towards the venue :) also my MOH is allergic to bees and wasps and don't want my bridesmaids screaming and running around the church bless their hearts! We've got some gorgeous wicker hearts and other decorations instead :) xoxo

Our vicar told us that the church committee would do them if we wanted for literally the price of the flowers and a small donation to the church. Not sure on cost yet but tbh I'm not overly fussed over having flowers at all. Getting on the bay for artificial ones for me and bms x
