He said that his feelings had changed and that he didn't want to be in a relationship.
We have been speaking most days as we work together. We have been speaking outside of work as well (which is good as we are trying to be friends.) We both have the same friends. Xx

But that's what I mean, you're struggling when he's not around because you're so used to having him around, if that makes sense? If you didn't have the same friends/work together, you prob wouldn't see each other that much, if not at all. So the hard part, you would of gone through first. I do agree it's good that you can be friends but is it too much too soon? I hope things look up for you though xx

I've been in a similar situation, me and H2B used to work together and a couple of years in he said he didn't want to be with me. I took a week off work then spent the following week in the loo most of the time but the following week I went in, head held high, looking great, forced myself to look like I was fine (I promise it didn't take as long as I thought it would for that to be true). The following week he was begging me to take him back. If this doesn't happen for you I promise it gets easier quicker than you think, the moment I knew I was feeling better was the morning I'd already gotten out of the shower before I thought about it, before that day it was the first thing I thought about when I woke up.

Hopefully its just pre marriage jitters and he'll realise he made a mistake

I am really sorry to hear you have broken up, and i'm sorry i can't really give you any advice that no one else hasn't given you. BUt i do feel that having a bit of space and not see each other for a little while may help you to get your head round things.
Hope you work things out, and you will get through it but it doesn't happen over night

glad things have worked out for you! I didnt see this thread before now as when the thread was created i hadnt been on for nearly a year as my h2b called everything off, we have kids together, and it is his tenancy and he wouldnt kick me out & we were gf/bf just not engaged anymore & i have to say it was the hardest year i have had to go through, we lost my mum & sister that year then i nearly lost him too, it was all just far too much! everytime someone asked if i was ok (not even referring to the situation just asking about my day in general) i was in tears, majorly in tears, i didnt want to get out of bed, it got slightly easier but still wasnt perfect until valentines this year when i had had enough of the tears (& headaches that come along with them) & gave in and i proposed over a 3 course meal and he said yes, so i know how hard it must have been for you!

I am so very happy you have managed to work things out!
