So we had a quote from a really great local flower and room decorator. I thought it was abit too much really so we went to another local one, got a quote and paid a deposit. Well it's only just occurred to me that the quote from the first suppliers (our favourite) was actually cheaper! And we know that they will do a great job. Whereas the one we have gone with, we have never seen any flowers from. So now I'm thinking I want to go with the people who provided our first quote, but I'd rather not lose the deposit I have paid to the second company. I was thinking the company I paid the deposit to could provide the mothers bouquets with the money I have already given them. My problem is, how do I ask them this without saying "I want somebody else because I'm not sure you are any good"?

I don't want to offend anybody. And I don't want them to say 'tough you paid it so you've lost it'.

    Thanks ladies xx

I think so too, with what lala has said but broach the subject soon, u can change ur order according to what ur contract with them states, normally 6weeks before the wedding or whatever so I don't see why it would be a problem x

We don't havea contract as such, i just paid a deposit and that was it booked. They seem pretty nice though so like you say i might just say plans have changed. Yikes! I hate doing things like this. But the other people are just so good! I know they would do such a fantastic job, and i'd be devastated to pay so much for flowers and them not be perfect.

Ok, i'll do it this weekend. Wish me luck!

    xx

Definitely go and just explain gracefully that plans have changed and all you require is the mothers bouquets... you dont need to say anymore and they dont need to pry!
    Good luck hun xx

Sounds like things like this are quite common then. And that's a good point Lula, they may not even ask me why! I don't suppose i'd ask if i were them. I feel better about going in now :)

    Thanks ladies xx
