Hi, just wondering if anyone know if I can go to USA Orlando on a post dated passport, I would love to travel in my married name so was going apply to change name on the 3 month before wedding and get passport post dated to wedding date but I know that some place won't let you trevel on post date passport not sure if USA is on, hoping to book honeymoon as virgin holidays has just bough September 2014 dates.

They get really fussy with names and things like that, it all needs to match so if your passport is in married name then your holiday booking needs to be as well. I know USA can be really fussy and we're going to Florida for our honeymoon so just to be on safe side have booked in maiden name and not changing passport till im back :( gutted to fly as a Mrs with a Miss passport but will just emphasise the honeymoon at check in and hotel checkins etc haha xx

I know USA is really fussy about the passport I remember from when we went to Vegas, think it may be best to to it in maiden, Thinking of getting t-shirt with honeymoon 2014 on it to trevel in, lol

Haha am the same phone an company up to get quote for the holiday I most of said it our honeymoon about 10 times in 3 min phone call, iv got tags for suit cases getting t-shirt done everything with honeymoon. I love free stuff. Lol

i dont understand why you say about traveling on a post dated passport though ... as your passport will be valid ... no difference between that and any other passport
I'm not changing it till I get back and just booking in maiden name x

I know it dated from your wedding date but when I looked in Internet it was saying all this stuff about post dated passport and some country won't let you travel on it. It was just want was said in website when I type in changeling surname after wedding in passport.

ahhhhhhh now that makes more sense lol ... that is down to the relevant countries embassy and if you need a visa .... where are you thinking of going ?
i really ought to read post properly lol ..... you no longer need a visa for america ,,instead to have to have an esta which can all be done online .. that will be no problem as your passport number stays the same even with a name change
