    Hi everyone,

I really want balloons for my evening 10 tables. Nothing OTT, just a cluster of about 3 balloons on ribbon with a weight.

I've googled local balloon places but can't seem to figure out prices without emailing each one asking for quotes and I'm not sure whats reasonable. Has anyone else looked into balloon prices?

    Thanks, xxx

For our evening reception we had balloons on ribbons with a weight and the best place we found was card factory. If you call in they can give you their prices, but you don't tend to pay much more than the prices on the packets - and they will inflate and arrange them for you (all you have to do is get them to your venue).

If I remember correctly, we had 15 bunches of 3 helium balloons with weights for our engagement party for £180. We kept the weights though so for the wedding we're going to hire a helium cylinder (£20) buy the balloons off the bay of e and do them ourselves. I'm sure if you wanted to do them yourselves you could find weights for a reasonable price on the internet x

The card shop near me charges £1 per balloon, plus 50p per weight. The local florist charges £5.50 per set, which is 3 balloons and a nicer weight.

Our local shop will do the helium for 50p too, if you know then she'll even ribbon and weight them for you, she's lovely.

Oooh this is something I'm looking to have. I've picked the party shop I'm buying mine from - it's close to the venue. What colours are you ladies having?

We had a cluster of 3 balloons on each table - we had 5 tables and it cost is around £50. That included the 3 baloons - 2 latex and a clear just married balloon with a gold one inside - for each table, a weight and delivery to our venue.

im having balloons not decided if i want them for the day tables yet though but i am being charged 3.50 for a trio of balloons thats held down with a weight of sweets. I then have another £10 delivery and set up fee and to me this is much worth it if they are doing the delivering as its one thing less i have to worry about doing the day before my wedding.

If you do look on the high street, you'll find card factory is a lot cheaper than clintons (we did).

Thanks everyone. We're having flowers for centrepieces in the day but I think balloons look good in a larger room and have a wow factor in a more informal way. I agree that delivery would be preferable, I kinda want someone to just do it all for me! x

Im having six bunches of five balloons, ive ropedmy uncle in to make and deliver them to reception as its on his way to the church! There going to be black, ivory and grey balloons but there going on the floor dotted around the room! And a few on the dancr floor. Getting balloon stuff from the big rainforest beginning with an A, really reasonable for everything from there! X

I'm having 6 big tables for my reception room. My centrepieces are fishbowls with flowers and lights and a cluster of 3 balloons in ivory. The middle balloon gas rose glitter pattern on it too. Coupled with navy organza table runners and navy scatter crystals. Think my balloons worked out at £4.50 a bunch.

need to start researchign myself! best thing to do, is email a few and see what they all come back with and take it from there. xx
