umm i'm not 100% sure I've spoken to my florist and she has said a few months before. Best thing would be enquire and get a quote and see when they suggest you book x

Depends whether you want artificial or fresh.... Can always put a deposit down now & then few months before speak to the florist etc and discuss flowers etc :)

I'm getting married next April, and have got a quote from a contact of mine that is a florist.
A) so I know roughly of I can afford what I want, and B) so I can book and pay the deposit.
I have become amazed at how many people, wedding cars, make up artists, bands etc are already booked for my wedding date, and it's meant I'm making a concerted effort on ensuring deposits are paid, and my big things are booked in so I can ensure I get what I want.

i booked and paid my deposit to the florist in jan 2012 and that nearer the time i will speak to the florist about how i want my flowers etc but at least i can relax knowing she is booked for our day on 24/08/2013
Depends on the individual florists - mine uses locally produced flowers only and so she has told me to pick my flowers in May when she knows what will be available for my August wedding.... She gave me a price list though so I roughly knew what the cost might be

I booked mine yesterday with about 11 weeks until the wedding and i think that was about right. If you're in peak season though its worth booking as early as they will let you xx

If it's a really popular florist for weddings etc or you know exactly which florist you want and your wedding is in peak wedding season I would ask them if you can pay a small deposit to book them for the day as some places really only like to do one big event per day. Good luck hun :)

i booked my florist in January for our wedding in April 2014. We wanted to make sure that we got the forist we wanted and have a quote based on what we think we want, but its flexible until a month before the wedding, then we need to let her know exactly what where and how many etc.
Can't wait to be a Mrs to my Mr xxx

If you book it sooner rather than later, you might get a discount. I have been given incentives to book early by some people so you get a good deal and they get a guaranteed future order.

I'm getting married 2nd August next year, and have just started getting rough quotes for flowers, with a view to seeing a couple of florists in person over Easter for more detailed quotes. We'll probably book early summer I think? Just so it's done really, as they need to be booked at some point, plus we are getting married on a Saturday in August, which is obv a peak month/day, so I guess people may get booked.
I'm not in a huge rush though because I'm not THAT bothered about flowers; we don't need that many, and just want really simple things that would be hard to mess up (TBH I could do the table centres myself if it came to it). If you have your heart set on a certain florist, I'd be looking to book sooner rather than later.

i am having silk but ordered lst nov for march wedding...i wanted a flower not commonly used in weddings but my florist is amazing and found differnt ones to choose from.
