So we're making the invites, got the gift list done so we'll be all ready to send them out next weekend.
I thought we'd send the day invites now and the evening invites at a later date, but h2b thinks we should send them all now :S What's the usual thing to do? xxx

I'd send the day ones first, then if you get some 'nos' back you could bump some evening ones up to day guests without them even knowing...

I agree with Laura, I am sending day invites 6-8 month ahead and evening 4 months before ( I think)

Well we've got between 5-6 months to go but we only have 40 day guests and they all know the date of the wedding already

Kelbel, the wedding's a saturday so it shouldn't be a problem for evening guests as they'll only need to be free after 7pm on a saturday night so should be okay i think.

Yeah, it's a package deal so we have the space for 40 day guests, so if some people rsvp no then i'd rather bump people up than leave the empty places if you know what i mean?

I would hold back in order to bump if necessary (or in my case if lucky if some of the 'must invite') decline x

Ahhhhh GC2B, that's what i'm worrying about. Some people will think they're not invited at all if they know others have recieved a day invite.

You have got me thinking too. Were going to send them out all together. Will have to have chat with other half me thinks. As we both have people who we would like to invite to day but can't.
