    Hey.
New to this site but seems like its very helpful. I was just wondering how everyone has worked out how they are budgeting for the wedding and how much they can spend on what?

First are you paying for everything or are you getting some help?
If your parents or his parents are helping try to find out how much they are both able to lend you
Then work out how long you have until the wedding
Then work out your finances and see how much each month, week you are able to put aside for the wedding
Add this up each month from now until the wedding and you will have your budget!

Then to spilt it up for each thing work out your top 3 things and these will be your main money spenders and then everything else will depend on what you want and see.
(ie for us, venue which is 1/3 of our whole budget, rings as we will wear and see them everyday and photographer as these will be a huge reminder of the day so want them to be perfect)

What you need to figure out is how much can you afford to save?
Also research how much things are such as venues etc, and then how much would you realistically want to spend on each aspect of the wedding e.g dress, rings, flowers etc. split it all up into sections like that and it should be much easier to make such estimates

is just to love and be loved in return

we're playing it by ear at the moment, which is super risky, arghhhh.

Although the venue is expensive, im hoping i can cut back costs for a lot of things, and im selling a painting im doing to buy myself a printer to make my invites. I just need to get cracking with it really <_<

I was thinking about making my own invites and a few other bits and bobs as it will be cheaper if I do them myself then I can do it exsactly how I want them.
