Hey all. As I really love star gazing I have decided I'm going to have a star theme to me wedding. I'm going to name my tables after the constalations and I'm looking for ribbon buckles in the shapes of stars but that is proving hard. But I'm after some more great ideas. What would be a great favor that was not expensive but somthing people would want to keep? Thanks in advance.xx

Lovely idea, I love stars.
My Mum just brought a load of star decorated candle holders from a local garden centre, seeing as Christmas is over you might be lucky to grab some bargains. They'd be ok for women but don't know about men.
Or, perhaps if you like baking, star shaped personalised biscuits, but then you cant exactly keep those.

Oooh love the idea of covering them with with edible glitter. I do love glitter. I was thinking of sweets for the kids at the wedding. You can get nice little plastic tubs to put them in, thought of looking for them in star shapes.

I've just bought some star tea light candle holders they were really cheap at 50p each, you could make star shaped chocolate lollipops, cookies, or buy them all a star as a wedding favour not sure how much that would cost though

You can get a back drop curtain at the back of the top table and at the front of the top table you can get fairy lights underneath the table cloth which gives a really nice twinkling effect, I can't post pics at the moment but check out in my albums under table ideas.
CommentAuthorMrsBroady2B
Don't think the backdrop would look right at my venue cuz of the style of decore but do like the lights under the table cloth. Thats something I have never thought about. Thanks. x Wow getting somereally good ideas now.

I'm also planning on a star theme, as my wedding is set for five days before Christmas Day (2014), so is quite fitting for that time of year.
I'm taking notes from this thread, I hope you don't mind!
CommentAuthorMrsBroady2B
Not at all MargaretH85. We are all here to help each other out. Any good ideas you get please do post them on here too. x
CommentAuthorMargaretH85
I will do.
I'm only just starting my planning, but I knew my theme right from the start, I love stars!
CommentAuthorMrsBroady2B
Well I'v been thinking about it for a while but not really looked into it. I have been worried that it might not work with the time of year I am having my wedding. It's in May. x

Stars work any time.
I have lots of star stuff in my house, such is my obsession with them!
CommentAuthorMrsBroady2B
They are lovely. I have a telescope and all books on them. I would love to go on a star gazing holiday where you can see the real beauty of them.
CommentAuthorRachaelC80
Have you thought about naming a star after your H2B as a wedding gift for him??!! :-)
CommentAuthorRachaelC80
You could have a Wish Tree with star shaped tags?? Or, draw the different constalations in a guest book and put a star shape here the star should be and people can write in the stars??? Does this make sense?? I have the vision in my head!!!! I really like this theme, it's fun and different :-)
CommentAuthorMrsBroady2B
Well I was having the wish tree but never thought about doing the card's in star shapes. I like that idea.
CommentAuthorMrsBroady2B

I'm after some head pieces for my BM's. I was in a shop the other day and came across a star shaped slide. We asked if we could look at it, so the woman took it out the cabinet but it was really cheap an tacky on closer inspection. All made out of plastic! But I really liked the ided with me havivg the theme. I'v tried searching abit on the internet bet not seen any. I'm never any good when it comes to searching for stuff on the net. I like it to be there first page a see and end up getting fed up quickley if I can't find it. Just wondering if any body knew of any pages where I might have any luck? Thanks
