For those who are getting married abroad, how are you transporting your dress to your destination?
I know the hand luggage requirements for the airline I am flying with, but wanted to know what everyone else was doing, I.e. are you buying a special box with acid free tissue paper? Or are you just taking a small suitcase that meets the requirements of the airline?

My best friend got married in Jamaica, and she had a suitcase and she packed it in a certain way to keep it as in wrinkled as poss, then had it steamed at destination with a special steamer, not a h2o one.... You'll have to ask ur destination if they have one,made her dress look perfect after transportation x

i took mine in a dress bag .... they hung it up for me,..
just bare in mind you do not get extra hand luggage allowance for a wedding dress
We are going with a well known travel company thom....son and after panicking about this myself, in the wedding package we are allowed an extra hand luggage which they give you a box to put the dress in & also an extra 5kg each hold luggage for wedding bits and bobs so basically its an extra suitcase, so we get 60kg hold and 21kg hand luggage....and im sure i'll still go over haha!! Xx

I've seen girls taking wedding dresses on as hand luggage in a dress bag and get the crew to hang it somewhere safe for them xxx
