Hi everyone, i hope no one thinks i'm being really nosy but i was wondering what are your budgets for your weddings as my partner and i don't have a lot of money and i'm just wondering what the smallest budget is that someone has had for their wedding to see if we could actually organise our perfect day for the amount of money we have.

We are about £6,500 but between my h2bs parents and my parents they are paying for half of it so we only have to pay £3,250 woohoo! I think if we had to pay for it all ourselves we would have to have thought about doing it in a few years rather than next year. x

Well we have some stuff sorted already for example: my mum is buying my dress, my great auntie is buying our cake, my future sister in law will make all our invitations and stuff, my sister in law runs her own entertainment company so she can sort the entertainment for us and we are looking at having a buffet style reception instead if a sit down one so all the family can help with the food. I'm looking at a budget of about £3000 for everything else, maybe a little more but do you guys think that is doable??

    Sounds perfectly doable!

I've got quite a large budget compared to most of the girls on here, but I know that if had to we could cut loads out as they are extras not necessities.

Was £5000,but is now £1500.Have decided to scale down and have an intimate do.At the end of the day its about us and those closest to us sharing a very important day.Im making lots myself, and will still have a very special day.We cant justify spending a fortune on one day when we have other important things to spend the money on.I just wont compromise on photographer and rings,as the pics and rings will last forever!

i definatly agree! me n my partner r gonna both have student loans to pay back so dont have alot of money, but its not about the amount of money but how you feel about your day! so gonna aim for a max of £5000 as i would rather have a marriage than a wedding

our budget was £4000 but that was including our honeymoon, but we arent cant go on that one now so our budget now comes to £1,800. and out of that we have so far spent £800. so i really think £3000 is a good budget! x

Thats the only thing we are sacrificing, the guests.H2B has a load of friends, and we just could never afford to feed them all,so are inviting them for a drink in a pub after our intimate family and two friends each meal.x

£5000 for me but apparently in May, Asda are releasing their new wedding range and a whole wedding can be done for £677 so I would recommend holding out till then and see what you can get! They are doing everything from the dress to bridesmaids dresses, men's suits, flowers, cakes the lot!

we are planning to budget £4000-00 to £5000.00 but i am sure that by the time we start paying for things, we will come in far over budget, i am paying for my dress myself though as my h2b doesnt want to know how much i have spent, so i am paying for it by installments so that would be another £800 on top of it :)
