Leading on from a thread I saw before, I was just wondering when best to start organising a hen party??

I'm due to get married 10/08/13 and figured July would be the time to do hen - does that sound about right??? I know I want a spa day with my BMs, mum and MIL but the other bit can be left to the girls..

When should things start to be arranged..!? xxx

I picked the date already as needed to fit my hen do and stag do's in and we have alot of birthdays in May/June/July time and alot of friends go on holidays so we pre warned everyone of the dates and told them to keep them free on FB.

I have then left everything else to my bridesmaids to organise so be a complete surprise for me but they are starting in the new year with the planning xxx

Hey hun, I got married his August and had my hen in June and my friend who was also getting married in August had her hen in the July. I put the plans out for the hen do well in advance (late last year) so everyone had time to put the cash aside cus some people were going on both hens! I set up a bank account and a lot of the girls put in a bit of money each month so it made things easier for them. It depends how much you think it will cost all the hens but I think to start plans the sooner the better :) Esp setting a date so everyone can keep it free and not book hols etc xxx

Maybe wait until the new year and then start concentrating. We started arranging mine about 6-7 months prior to it happening. That way it gives everyone notice, however be prepared for last minute drop outs unless it is going to cost and then get money up front. I had loads wanting to be at mine, many dropped out last minute.

    Thanks guys..
I'm having 2 as one of my BMs will only be 15 and so cannot come out drinking with it, we're therefore going to have a spa-like day (£50ea) for me, my 3 BMs and mum and MIL.
Think we're going to funny girls in the evening; £8.50 for the cheap seats!!
