We had a band, everything was all going swimmingly and disaster they have gone totally off radar and apparently split!!!!
Need a band for 06/04 in Glasgow preferably rock covers, but would be good if can do a wee bit of ceilidh dances as well (keep the oldies happy!). Would also be good if didn't cost the earth cos we're getting a bit close and this is obviously an added expensive we were not expecting!!!
Any help/ advice we get will be greatfully appreciated and it will stop me losing the plot totally (you can see it beginning in the number of !!!!!!)!!

The online advertising service called Gum and tree is usually pretty good for that kind of thing. If I was you I would put an advert up on it, and when you get a call ask if you can go see the band playing. Good bands are booked up loads this month and over New Year's Eve and so you will have plenty of opportunities to check them out at different venues, pubs clubs et.
Also go through any existing adverts on Gum and tree, you might just find a few.
