well we did it. me and my hubby finally tied the knot after 10 years together on saturday and we had the best day.
i woke up at half 4 as the hotel room heating had kicked in and i was roasting, too hot so i got up and went for a wander around the grounds. after going back i found my mum sitting on my bed wondering where i went to lol. so after going back to bed i slept another 2 hours before getting up at half 6 got showered and ready for breakfast. i picked up 2 of the other bridesmaids and we went down with my mum and got back in time to meet up with siobhan and Ann who were hair and makeup. just after half 8 my other 2 bridesmaids and usher turned up to get ready and to help the guys set up the venue. before we knew it it was time to get dressed and get ready to go over. just as we finished dressing my niece the photographer and videographer came over to take some shots. to be honest when the hotel phoned to ask if we were ready i had no idea i was already 15 mins LATE!!!!! so trapsing over we were met with the aerobics ladies who had taken over the ceremony room on the same weekend as our wedding and they were all lovely. they clapped us as we went through and said congratulations. it felt weird getting compliments, not used to that lol.
so arriving at the ceremony room we were met by martin the hotel wedding coordinator who i cannot thank enough for everything he had done. he explained he would announce the bridal party and would start the proceedings, at this point the nerves kicked inand i could feel myself welling up. as he asked the guests to stand i felt panicky and i did well up a bit. the music started and kept jumping i was annoyed cos i wanted to get in there and see ma man. so the processional began. first carrick with the ring box and well the ooohs and ahhs said it all and i felt better. next my bridesmaids and then holls and then it was my turn. dad lead me to the top of the aisle where we waited and then started walking again. well i didnt see anyone except the back of p head and i was practically running down that aisle. we went through the vows and finally got the ring ive been waiting for. as we stood to the side so scott could do his sermon p put his hand round my waist and reeled me in so i was leaning against him. we then signed the register and lit the memory candle and then left the stage and room as husband and wife.
everything else of the day the photos and meal went by really quickly and hubbys speech got me emotional. everyone told us that his speech was really deep and was so wonderful it truly showed how much he loved me. afterwards we cut our beautiful cake that hubby designed and then danced our first dance to foreigner. it was brilliant. it was announced that i had a special guest and i couldnt think who it was, none other than mickey mouse lol brilliant he was there for my birthday and also for the kids but mainly for me lol.
the day was perfect and couldnt be happier.
