This might sound silly but I have a bit of a problem, I know it is meant to be bad luck to see the groom before you get married on the wedding day, however we are going for a big family meal with both families the night before and I was thinking what if we are out later than midnight? I know its stupid but do you count it from when you wake up on your wedding day or from when the clock strikes 12. I know I aren't going to turn into a pumpkin or anything but I would just like to know so at 11.59pm I can hide or something lol x

Love: A wildly misunderstood, although highly desirable,
    malfunction of the heart.
37 Pounds down, 22 pounds to go! I will be a skinny bride!
28th March 2014 will be the day I marry my best friend.

I think a group of us, inc H2B, are staying at the venue the night before; though we'll probably be in bed by 10 to get an early night.

I haven't actually ruled out sharing a room with him, as at the moment, it's looking like the room situation might be awkward. It really doesn't bother me if I see him on the morning, provided my dress and hair are a surprise.

I'd say it's really up to you; but one thing I'd say is to think about what time you need to get up; it'll likely be a long day with an early start, so for me, going to bed past midnight would just not be an option, as I need my 8 hours, and would hate to be tired on the day.

I agree with both girls - the next day isn't until you have gone to bed, but I wouldn't recommend being up after midnight!! U'll be shattered!!

luck is what you make it hunni ....we shared a room the night before when we got married in America solely because it seemed pointless to be spending money on booking another room

We got married away from home - and the night before we went to the local pub for a meal and drinks with most of the guests. Tbh we were one of the last to leave (stayed out with husband's cousin and his gf [my bm]) til about 1am. Even when we got back to the hotel, we spent time talking etc before we went to bed (we did have separate rooms).

It wasn't bad luck for us - everything went to plan and we're still happy lol.

We are all meeting for dinner the night before at our recoetion venue with his family and some of mine and then I'm leaving about 11pm to go to mums to sleep so I think it's quite normal. Xxx

I think it probably means from when you wake up. I'm so glad I done it properly this time with no contact. If he needed to tell me something either my son phoned me or my bil.
