Hi lovely ladies :) ok, soooooo been looking into dressing the evening reception room at the hotel on a budget as I wont be having fresh flowers on the table in that room (only having fresh flowers on day table as only 30 guests so having a banqueting style table) anywhooos, i love these paper tissue pom poms that i have seen on wedding mags and they r soo cheap and easy to make (iv been practising and have them all over the house!!!!) but has any1 else used these and if so, how did u hang them?! Many thanks xx

I absolutely love them, Ash wasn't so sure of them until I showed them to him and how many colours and sizes they could be done in, once he saw them he really liked them. They totally fit the flow of what we are having for our day. They just add a real dimension to it, we are also have coloured ribbons covering the ceiling - from centre to wall if that makes sense. The current idea we have is to hang them in single blocks of colour from the rainbow trailing down towards the tables, (large to small) to be hung from clear fishing reel.
We are having an extremely colourful day lol.

Oooh I wanted to use these and i made a trial one (in my album) but my venue is in a big conservatory type building and because it has ceiling fans I can't have them!! doh!! I was going to use cotton thread looped and tidy around the middle and then tided around the beams in the ceiling. If your venue has ceiling tiles you can lift these up and trap the ends.

I am also making posies for vases for the evening tables!!! they look fab :D xx
Have you thought about asking your venue if you could use white-tac (is like blue-tac, but well errr white lol) or a similar product, it doesn't usually leave a mark and is fully removable. You could do testing at home with that or similar just to see if it works and how much weight etc it can hold.
We are looking into using it or the temporary hooks and then running the clear reel along the ceiling and hanging the lines down from that, if you get me.
