I came accross these when I was looking on google at unusual bouquets and absolutly love them! Just wondering if anyone knows how you make them and whether or not they are very easy to do? xxx

Wow they're lovely!
I don't think they would be too hard to do technically, but I think you would need a lot of patience!
I think you could maybe do it with wire and beads...

I think the flowers would be very time consuming and deceptively tricky. They are very lovely though :)

They are lovely good luck in conduit how they are made
CommentAuthorNEDebz
They are lovely, I had debated having them too. I read about them on the internet and they can be very time consuming to do, plus think about the fact that there are 1000's of beads in them and lots of wire. I saw a boquet at a wedding fair on Saturday, so had a closer look as I still love them however it was really really heavy. I think they would be lovely for maybe adding one or two to a boquet or to a head piece but not sure how practical they would be for a full boquet x

Thanks for the link LauraJo87, I am quite good with little intricate things so I think I will give them a go in a couple of weeks when I have a week off :) I will start off using them on my junior bridesmaids head bands I think first and then depending on how heavy they are I might make some for a bouquet too, or maybe as the mums thankyou presents as my dad is allergic to real flowers so my mum cant have them in the house. It shouldn't matter how heavy it is then because they will just go in a vase! lol xxx

I got so excited when I saw your title!
I have finished my bridesmaids bouquet (one more to go) and almost finished mine (mix of beaded flower and brooch). They are most definately worth the time and effort ( I think so anyway!)
They arent difficult once you have the basic idea - most flowers can be done through just 4 different moves. I learnt from a book - but also videos on line! There are a few things I wish I knew before I started though if anyone wants more info!
Ill see if I can find a photo to upload somewhere if anyone is interested!
CommentAuthorLinzi-jo
Oh what things did you wish you had known? I have just ordered some wire and beads off the bay of E to give it a go :) and I would love to see your bouquet! xxx

Main things I wish I had known are:
Buy beads in quantity - I ended up buying 1kg at 4.99 off bay of e - whereas before I would buy 50g for £2 - doesnt last long! Buy a bead spinner - the most important bit - worth its weight in gold! Get a few different gauges of wire - some wont hold the shape that you are trying to achieve and need to be stronger.
The beads in quantity are the most important thing really, saves you lots in the long run (but I am a little obsessed and have about 12 large jars in all different colours and often just sit there admiring how pretty they look in a row....)
I'll put a few piccies on my wall next - I havent worked out how else to do it!

Oh well I bought 60 grams for £2 but if I decide I enjoy doing it I will keep in mind to buy more! lol And your bouquets are great! I love the daffodil! (at least that's what I think it is! Sorry if it isn't! lol) xxx

You're fine- they are daffodils! I tried a hair piece like the picture a few months ago- and it really was easy! You can have fun using pearl beads for the stamen and I think the look gorgeous! All in costs less than a few quid, so defiantly worth a try!

I watched a tutorial on youtube and they used a bead spinner....and they threaded the beads onto the wire in no time. I looked on Ebay and they are £3 + £2 p/p so for a fiver you are all set

Just a suggestion, but if you can find a battery powered spinner they are much easier to use! If it's any help, message me your address and I can photocopy a few pages explaining the different 'knots' and a few patterns for basic flowers. Once you have the hang of it you can deviate into your own designs.

So.... I have made 4 flowers to be used on my junior bridesmaids headpieces, but for some reason it wont let me upload them on here so I will pop them in the DIY album on my profile if anyone wants a nose :) I am quite pleased with them and they didnt take as long as I imagined they would! The photos dont do them justice though, the beads look beautiful when the light catches them! xxx

Ok so I've finished all the bits for one of the headpieces. I'm just holding the pieces in place in the pictures below as I havent attached them to each other or the headband but you get the jist! I also need to pop some small pearl beads into the centre of the flower but have just sent it to my bridesmaids to see what they think so I wont do this until I know if they both like it or not! What do you ladies think? :) xxx
