Just had a meeting with a photographer and she is LOVELY. I just want to book her now even though I know I need to look at few other people. She said if I book now she'll do it for now prices rather than the new prices which by 2016 will nearly be double as she's got a lot of professional training booked in. Her photos are lovely and she seems lovely too. And for only £750 I think it's really good price. How many photographers should I look at before booking one? X

I did this I booked a photographer without really looking at others because I liked his work and got on really well with him.
Then when I started looking at his recent weddings he put on his fb wall they all just seemed samey samey to me and not what I want AT ALL!! So I started to panic and thought omg I'm going to be stuck with him and end up hating all my pictures which is a HUGE thing for me as these are one of three things that last BEYOUND the day!!
After talking to the other half he turned round and said as they are so important to me he was willing to loose thew 50 quid deposit if needs be :-) (I love my man)
So I've started looking at others and I'm a firm believer in trying before you buy SO I've narrowed it down to 3 and booked mini shoots with them ALL!!

The first one was a family shoot which was nice but we didnt click and I was really disappointed with the results!

The next one was indivudual shoots for each of my kids and I felt like I was talking to an old friend and we laughed pretty much all day and gave each other a huge hug at the end of the shoot's and her picture's...............OMG they are A MAZE ING!! So she is DEFIANTLY still in the running lol

The third and final one I actually found on here and thanks to here we will be doing a free engagement shoot just me and h2b on the 30th so I will let you know how that one goes lol

Defiantly dont book without seeing others hunni as you may like them now but you may see another you like more or even change your mind. If you still like this one after seeing more then by all means go for it but I strongly suggest looking around at others before booking

The photographer told us to look at others and see who we gel with and she's not putting prices up til dec so gives us bit of time to look around and that. I'm a firm believer in going with my gut feeling and like with venues I think we've found the one as it had that feeling but we are checking them out anyway to check it is the right one and I think I'll do that with photographers. I think I like the fact she's looking at it from a brides point of view so she will do what she would want at her wedding which I think can be easier for a lady than a man. X

I would definitely shop around too.... See if you can get some free engagement shoots down to see how you work together.... I actually preferred male photographers to female from the ones we saw. We viewed a few and one lady was a lot older and had a tradiontal view for weddings so would get all the right shots whereas our second viewing was a younger man who equally would get the right shots but proffered fun shots and these suited us more. He went for less posed pictures and more natural shots which I liked. So my advice is shop around as Orginally my gut went with the 1st lady until he meet the 2nd man and my gut changed so see what packaged you can get elsewhere too xxx
