Wedding Forum - Our Wedding Day..photos in album...

Thought i had better get round to it and share like so many lovely brides have done before me.I have alaways loved reading the 'newly married' posts and seeing the photos thinking one day this will be me.Well now it is!
I have put loads of photos in my album (sorry can't post on here) They aren't all in order or even the right way round lol but i am sure you will get the idea!

In the last week before the wedding i was so incredibly stressed it was untrue.I would never have imagined how bad it would be.It got to the point on the Monday when i shouted at a man at swimming at which point my now husband said that he would take over 'everything ' non wedding related which he did bless him.I didn't do the school run,cooking,cleaning,ironing,dancing,karate etc etc.I was still very stressed but at least i didn't attack anyone!
Thursday (the day before the wedding) We went to the venue to go through the last minute details and drop off all the table dressings/table planner/cake/my bags etc.It all went really smoothly and my wedding coordinater was very impressed with how i had boxed,labled and then put a sheet with detailed instructions in each box to clarify (looking back maybe a little too orgainsed? No thats not possible!) We then went to pick up my dress.Because i can't drive my husband took me so i couldn't look at my dress and then we dropped it at the venue so i still couldn't look at it! I had to wait until 4pm when i checked in at the venue to finally see my dress! We then had a 3 hr wait for my daughter to finish school so that we could pick her up and deliver us to the venue...longest 3hrs of my life as i had literaly nothing to do but wait!
At 4pm we went to the venue where i unpacked and got everything ready for the next day and washed and dried my daughters hair....as i did so i felt all the stress of the previous week just melt away.We went down to to the bar where we had a couple of glasses of wine and a meal with my moh (who had checked in by then) and my sister in law.During that time my husband arrived to drop off the car and i was able to say the phrase i have been waiting to say for ever...See you in Church x
Friday (The Wedding)
Sleeping in the same room as my excited daughter/chief bridesmaid may not have been the best idea for us to get a good nights sleep as we were both awake form 2.30am pretty much and by 5am i think i was in the bath!
I was so calm,i couldn't believe it and everything went so smoothly.There were little things like the fact that it took much longer than i imagined it would do to get in my dress but we had plenty of time so it didn't matter.My older daughters zip bust but we had loads of safety pins and it happened at a point in the day where we were able to fix it so no one would know so that didn't matter either. Everyone kept commenting on how calm i was but i just felt serene and stress free(which is so unlike me!)
We went downstairs where i met my Dad,it was lovely to see his face when he saw me.We had a couple of photos and i was going to have some champers at this point to calm my nerves but as i didn't seem to have any plus time was getting on i just totally forgot. I am glad i forgot because it means i was totally sober when i walked down the aisle and i would of hated for any of my memories of that to be foggy.
This was the only time in the day that i was a little anxious.A lady came into the venue and advised us that there had been a bomb scare on our route and that there were major hold ups.At that point i just said 'right lets go then!' Needless to say that we totally avoided any hold ups which meant we were fast approaching the church 20 mins early!!! Now i am all for being punctual but that would have looked desprate lol! So i got the driver to take us for a little drive but as i said i did get a little stressed (am i the only bride in history to be stressed because she is going to be too early?) My mouth went really dry and i started to worry that i wouldnt be able to say my vows.Fortunately my lovely driver picked up on this,stopped the car at a shop and leaped out and bought me a bottle of water,some chewing gum and some tissues...how thoughtful of him.I had a few sips of water and a piece of chewing gum and felt loads better.Ten minutes later i arrived at the church calm and collected and bang on time!
As i got out of the car i just felt like a princess or a film star,it was wonderful.All of our friends were outside the church taking photos and i just felt euphoric.I was so happy.We didn't have a photogropher,instead we asked everyone to take as many photos as possible...it was a gamble but our friends took up the challenge and were awsome,we already have over a thousand photos!!!
The ceremony
As soon as the music started i forgot all about taking my time walking down the aisle,i was just so overwhelmed to see everyone that i nearly cried but i didn't and the whole service was just so beautiful,i enjoyed every minute.Our seven year old daughter recited a beautiful poem and she totally stole the show.I was so proud that i thought i would burst.
We both managed to say our vows clearly and without hiccup....my husband paused for effect on the 'all that i have i share with you bit' which caused a titter and the vicar reprimanded him for taking so long to marry me lol.It was perfect.
After the ceremony we had to wait for the car to take my parents and bridesmaids to the venue so we went to the pub which was very cool...the looks on peoples faces was so funny.then the car collected us from the door of the pub with a red carpet and champers and we were off to the venue.
The reception was fab,the room looked stunning,the food was gorgeous although i hardly ate a thing.The speeches were touching and funny in equal amounts.Everyone loved all of my little creations including my cake which got lots of compliments and my biscuit favours....i felt that all the hard work was worth it.
What can i say the whole day was amazing, i was literaly walking on air all day.It was the best day of my life.
Oh also for those who want to know if it feels different being married.YES IT DOES.I am as suprised as anyone as we have been together 9 years and lived together for 7 but i definitely feel different.....and very very happy and contented.

My H2B's family live in Poulton and his sister got married there and her daughter was christened there too. :)

Thanks Sazelle, i am feeling much better now.I have just booked a minimoon for us at the end of the month,just two nights but really looking forward to being spoiled xxx
