Well, after weeks of dithering, we've gone and done it. H2B and I joined a gym this morning! We have our induction on Wed morning, and we've booked our first class for Thursday! Now, I HATE exercise, so to reward myself afterward each class/gym session Im going to have a spa session too. So £100 a month committed for the next year. Yikes! But I only have 5 months to lose weight and tone up, so need to do something. Luckily most of the wedding is paid for, and what isnt already paid has been saved up.
Some encouragement from you lovely ladies who have taken the gym plunge will be much appreciated!

When you get into the swing of it you will enjoy it..... I find when I have done a few days. Then get used to gym again and enjoy going. Nice idea to include a spa treatment xxx

good luck. think i might have to join a gym or got a personal trainer as i am adicted to junk food and i will never get into my dress =D i think that rewarding yourself with the spa after will get you more motivated. you can do it, just think of walking down the aisle to your h2b and looking STUNNING xx

Oh well done, I think actually getting off your butt and signing up to a gym is the hardest part, once you start going I bet you're going to love it and having the spa after, what a great idea, not only will you be fit and toned but you're going to be glowing aswell :)) Good luck xx

Good luck hun, would recommend the classes at the gym rather than just going to use the machines, I personally find them more motivational

Go you missus. I get as far as looking into joining a gym and then manage to find a reasonable excuse as to why I simply can't justify it lmao. Have decided though that if I haven't done it for myself by my birthday next year I will be 'requesting' it as a present. That way I will feel more guilty if I don't use it.

Keep updating as to how you are finding it :o).

Well done! Great that you are doing it together, that way you can encourage each other. I'm super competitive so there is nothing that inspires me to work harder in the gym than another person I know seeing me step off the treadmill first! x

Well, heres an update. We've done a couple of classes, and some gym sessions. I cant go as often as H2B, as he is still off work after his hip replacement, and I work shifts, but I had an induction session last week and the gym instructor says as long as I do 3 sessions a week, I should be all toned and gorgeous by the wedding! The most surprising thing, is how much Im enjoying it!

Great news that your enjoying it. I have a treadmill at home so use that every other day alternates with zumba! I took a while to get into it but once u build it into a routine it's fine. And I love getting on the treadmill, turning the music up loud! X
