    Hello everyone :)
I've been trying to lose a bit of my podge before my big day and it must be working because two of my rings that I wear every day and really loose where as before they were tight. Sadly one of them is my engagement ring :/ I was wondering if anyone knew how much it costs to get rings re-sized and if I should wait till I'm at my goal weight before doing it or can just do it now?

Just thought I would update everyone, I got my ring resized for £20 and it is perfect! They cleaned and re-dipped it too so I'll def be getting them to do it again before the big day!. x

37 Pounds down, 22 pounds to go! I will be a skinny bride!
28th March 2014 will be the day I marry my best friend.

I think it is best to wait until you get to your goal weight, you dont want to end up having to do it all over again, if you lose more weight.

    Met: 1st February 2014
    Engaged: 1st June 2014
    Getting Married: 31st December 2014

You can get little plastic clips to put on your ring which will make them fit until you are at goal weight. This is what my friend did. I think she got them out of a catalogue that sells wares which are better (hope that isn't too cryptic!)

If those don't work for you there are metal sizers you can use. I had to use them because the plastic ones kept falling off my ring. I think it's because I use my hands a lot.

I used ring silicon before I got mine resized. Check how the jewellers resize your ring before you take it to them. I used the kissing People who advertise on here. They did a beautiful job as they use heat to shrink the metal (somehow?). However some jewellers cut the metal to resize it and this will weaken the ring at that point making it possible to snap at the join regularly xx

Oh and I decided not to wait till I reach my goal weight, just because when I asked in the shop they said they would do it again if it needed doing and that it would be the same price! x

Oh fab! I've never heard of downsizing a ring that way, wish I'd known a few years ago. I've got a vintage gold and emerald ring that the jeweller cut up, and I am scared to wear it. Will bear it in mind if I need to later on though :D

So glad you found it that easy - and it seems everso reasonable too! Here's to reaching your goal :D
