I know for a fact it won't be to everyone's tastes but there is something about this cake that we can't put our finger on but for a possible cake we do really love....
It would be a turquoise cake with the thrown about icing in silver and pearlescent white.... just wondering peoples opinions? Flowers will be the same but instead of pink mini flowers will be turquoise/silver... and also possibly looking at a square cake instead of round...
I do love this cake, as it is so out there and so different but am wondering whether the straggly ends should be hidden under the ribbon and maybe having the cake board plain, like the separators....its obviously not meant to be a 'tidy' cake and am aware that a lot of people won't like it,
but was wondering all your honest opinions??? xxx

Yup the very last one! Completely different I know, she did one for a lady where it was all white with turquoise 'thrown' over but didnt do it any good as think need the 'darker' colour for the full effect! x

I really like the decorations but not so keen on the spacers- makes it look a little unbalanced to me I like the cake board decorated - don't think it looks too messy I think the colours you are going for would look really good on it :)

Thanks ladies, ye definitely thinking square as again thats not that common anymore! Think we have decided on the flowers like the ones in the last cake for our actual flowers, and think they look gorgeous on the last cake! So glad you are all approving *so far*!! It is something people wouldn't expect but I think if it was 'tidied' up at the bottoms and in our colours it wud look fab!

think it would look really good abit unexpected from the traditional.You seem to like the stripe swirly design as from some styles you pick so go for it.Its obvious you love that style and the colours will go really nice together and as everyone has said square is different but good.Go for it. :-)

I really like the design on the cake but not so fond of the big pokey bits sticking out from the flowers - are they call spacers? I think the cake design is great though and would look fab in square. Just maybe with different flowers. xxx

Glad you all like, I know it should be down to us but at the end of the day if you're going to go for a statement cake, or something abit out there, you kind of want to test the waters really! My OH and I have agreed we don't want anyone knowing really but he said should show my Mom as they will be paying for it and would be nice for an outsiders opinion, and straight off I thought no, I'll ask the lovely UKbriders as they will be 100% honest with me!

Yeh I wasn't 100% sure on the spacers but when she did a mock up with styrofoam dummies it didnt look to bad! I think if it was all on top of each other it may look a little too 'busy', so the spacers sort of spread it out? and also its off centre on the cake board, suppose thats due to the flowers but maybe if it was more central it would look a little more balanced? xx

if it looked better on the mock up then go for them, they just look strange on the photo but Ive seen real cakes with these in the design and they look great. more importantly, did you get to taste any cake? xx

Well we're going to have a look at a few other ladies, get some prices etc and see if we can get it at a lower price :) always good for budget!!
Nooo we didnt :( absolutely gutted!!! but she is holding a cake tasting event in a couple of weeks on a tues night (night before my weigh in so not so great) but will probably go down to that!
