So, I've only tried a couple of dresses on so far, getting married October 2013 and know pretty much what style of dress I want and have seen one that I really like that just needs altering slightly to make it more 'mine'.
Mum and I are going to a dress shop on Saturday and it's my first proper 'appointment' to try loads on but I'm really not as excited as I think I should be... more nervous I think and I know I'm not going to fit into the one I really like and just feel a bit out of place in the dress shops we've been in :s
I need some encouraging words please lol! :) x

You'll be fine :-) i'm sure you'll get excited nearer the time. How do you know you won't fit into the one you like? Cross that bridge if and when you come to it and if you can't then it can't be 'the one' and there'll be a better one out there waiting to be tried on :-) Positive thinking!! hun if you feel out of place in the dress shop you've not found the right dress shop yet! mine made me feel amazing no matter what dress i tried on and were honest about which styles would suit and which ones wouldn't
don't worry about a thing be excited!!! wear a clean bra and matching pants if you can and feel glam its all about you and getting you into the right dress that makes you feel amazing :-) have a fab day out with your mum and embrace the whole experiance :-D xxxxx

I hope I get more excited by Saturday.. got a feeling I'm still going to be bricking it lol. Maybe it's the fact I've got to get undressed in front of strangers too.
I can't see it fitting because it's 2 sizes smaller than my normal dress size but the lady said you'd be surprised at what we can squeeze you into... hmmmm... that sounds like bulging wobbly bits everywhere :(

The lady we saw when we went in was really nice and almost calming.. I think I liked her because she was quiet like me but I'm just nervous about the whole thing. Mum seems more excited than I am!!
Did you take photos of the dresses when you were trying them on?
some places can be a bit funny of you taking photos because of copyright and copy dresses but you can only ask the question
It all feels a bit surreal still and like it was aaaaaaaaages ago but thats because we've been away on holiday its all a bit strange, like i got some post with my married name on and i didn't even look at it as i thought it wasn't for me. but so far its been bliss
don't worry they can get you into a dress to show you what it looks like and trust me if you like it and its waaaaaaay too small you'll love it when it fits in your size!

You will be amazed at what they can squeeze you into. I tried on a load of size 10 dress even though I'm a 14 and surprisingly it worked. No bulging bits to be seen.

I got squeezed into a size 14 dress and I was an 18 when i started dress shopping, they can work wonders them ladies! just enjoy the experience xx

You may be nervous now but once you get there and start trying on you will love it and enjoy it!!! Trust me!!
I was pretty much in tears before going to my first dress shop, i was so worked up and scared, and dreading it in all honesty, was worried nothing would fit, that id hate what i looked like etc, but once i was in there the woman was so friendly and so helpful, i ended up spending close to 3 hrs in there, trying on 9 or 10 different gowns!!! and as it turns out fell in love with 3, that later become the one! Just go in and enjoy, breathe, and relax, you'll love it!! and you got all of us to support you on your way! xx

Tried the dress on I really liked and LOVED it when it was on!!!!!!!!!!!! So much so, we've ordered it!
The first dress I tried on in this place and only the 3rd one I've tried overall... definately knew it was The One.
Really don't know now why I was so nervous. So excited now, just wish we were getting married sooner so I can wear it NOW lol.
