We would like to give our members a wonderful welcome to the site (new and existing members), and we thought a nice Weding Goody Bag posted out would be a nice start to the magazine!
However, this would cost us, even sending out an empty box would cost us. And we are very aware that money is tight for all of you lovely ladies.
We were thinking a spend for the bride of say £10.00 or max £20.00 would buy you a nice box of wedding related gifts.
What are your thoughts and what would you like in the box? Please discuss, create a list and perhaps a lovely Mod can run a poll on the favourite items?
Examples - A Beautiful UKbride Wedding Planning Book, Wedding Magazine, Wedding Discount Book, Wedding Garter, Something Blue, Disposable Cameras, Hen Night T Shirts, UKbride Pen, UKbride T Shirt etc etc
Think its a great idea, need a mod to set up a poll so we can all vote :) Perhaps do two boxes one at £10 the other at £20 so brides can decide on which they would like, example ideas are fab Keep up the great work J x

think its a great idea, id say £10 a box would be better as a lot of the lovely ladies on here are on a tight budget like myself. but if you get wedding goodies i think it would be great.

Sounds fab! Ok so we need a list of different things to put in them first so maybe something like......
5 items for £10 10 items for £20 15 items for £30 20 items for £40
So going by that we would need a list of at least 20-30 items to get a good selection? so the boss man has started us off

I'm not sure, I think it would be £10 for a few things you would use.... Would the voucher book be for discount we don't via this website? What wedding magazine would it be as they are expensive and I have 2 on subscription too. Also in terms of the garter I think that everyone has different taste s be wasted and same with the sash and photo album. I would like a ukbride pen but that's promotion for ukbride and I already pay to be a power user and get nothing for that so why would I pay for a promotional pen?

Perhaps you could include a points lottery ticket too. This could have a ticket number and give the recipient points towards their hearts or perhaps you could allocate points per box for example more points for a £40 box than a £10 box. You might also be able to get some of the suppliers/advertisers to donate samples for the boxes if they want to further advertise, like invite samples etc. I really like the idea of the goody boxes. Not sure I'd buy one now that I'm hitched but would have done when I was planning my wedding.

What about, along with the wedding planning book, a wedding planning organiser? Like a ring binder with dividers in it for all the main components/suppliers needed for a wedding for brides to keep paperwork, contracts etc. in and a few plastic wallets at the back to put cuttings etc. in?

Just adding in my tuppence....what about the H2B's on this site. The garter/sash etc. are geared towards the ladies (understandable as we are definitely the majority on here). I love the idea of it being staggered though and love lala's suggestion about one for married ladies (of course)!

I love the idea I'd buy one agree with all what hails said and agree that companies may provide samples to put it like they do at wedding fairs.... For the h2b there could be an aftershave sample lol but don't kno what to say for the h2b on here maybe they could suggest something xx

Hails, his laptops probably ameicanised, it'll be on there somewhere, Ive had this issue before too! You just need to hit shift and all the keys til you find it hahaha, I think it's one of the ones around the '#' key...!
Also, I think this is a great idea and would totally be up for it. I'd rather like the something blue to be the garter haha! And the photo album and sample smellies!
What about sample make up? foundations etc? though im not sure how that would work as we're all varying colours.... I suppose other make ups would work....

loving the suggestions so far,
what about some confetti? or bubbles? I agree that the suppliers on here might want to include samples eg a sample invite or maybe a brochure of the wedding dresses they sell. Also not against a wee sample cupcake being thrown into mine, though i'm not sure that would work seeing as its a perishable item.
The bounty packs have discount vouchers in them too eg 20% off nappies, what about similar vouchers from the suppliers?

Can you get like, DIY templates for things too? My mind is only stretching as far as confetti holders, it's still to early for my brain to be ticking over lol. I know you can get this stuff online, but it could always be a few cheaper items to be chucked in, and it's always nice to be able to keep stuff to stick in the ring binder thing Im hoping will be included haha!

I think it great idea and like Velcro Im searching for a ringbinder style wedding organiser so I can add pages if and when need instead of filling one note book and then having to buy anotehr and carrying 2 with me so tis would apeal to me allthe way!!

Why not do raffle bags. Say each member that wants to can buy a ticket for a pound each week and then you could make up £20 bags with the money and we all have a chance at winning as you will probably have more than one prize each time.

I would buy one. I'd probably stretch to £20 but no more for a goody bag, others may wish to pay more so the option can be available.
Perhaps some suppliers would be interested in popping samples in such as favour sweeties, make-up testers etc.
