ok so as many of you may or may not know... i had initially planned to get married abroad in jamaica, but unfortunatly due to cost's on the family members we arent able to.

anyway i wanted to keep the caribbean theme for my wedding, was we are only having 30 in the day, where we are having the civil ceremony, i didnt want a harp playing, i wanted to keep to the caribbean theme and have a steel band playing to welcome the guests in and play while i walk down the isle.

anyway after telling my mum this idea, she said noway!!! its tacky!! and now claims my 15 yr old brother said the same!... yes the place i am getting married in is beautiful... but end of the day i want the steel band!! my mum is now hoping i will change my mind!! or will try and convice my other half to tell me not to have it!

ill try and upload pictures of the where i am having the ceremony and i would like HONEST comments please!!

i personally dont want a mish mash wedding and want everything to blend in together!!

    STRESSSS

If that's what you want Camilla, go for it! It would be really cool I think - steel band, jerk chicken, rice and peas! wonderful!

I think it's a nice idea. BTW there is always someone that can find the tacky at any wedding, I'd just ignore them.

no, and it isn't worth trying :)
I grew up in Southern California and I love anything tropical/beach related, so I'm more than partial to your idea. I think it'll bring some sun to your wedding even if it's the greyest day England can throw at you. :D

Venue looks gorgeous, and it's your wedding you have what you like or you will regret it after. I think it would be lovely x x
