    Hiya all..

Kind of stuck for ideas at the moment. We will be having helium balloons on the tables and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about what to do for weights.

If possible I would like to fill bags with sweets of some kind (heavy enough to hold the balloons down) but not too expensive. Color scheme is purple so can be color coordinated - or not...

    Any ideas would be fantastic!
    Thanks
    Lucy

You could always tie the balloons to washers or nuts and place them in the bag with the candy, that way if the candy is consumed the balloons will be weighted down.

you can get little sparkly weights from most card shops that they use for helium baloons.

I was going to say you can get stone weights from shops that are covered in sparkly foil paper.

when my uncle had a party they put sweet into a little card box with sweets in, the box was heavy enough to keep the ballon weighted when the sweets were gone.

As said above, all the card stores on high street do weights with sparkly bits over the top... xx

If you don't get any weights with your ballons and you don't want to tie them to a sweetie box, you could always get squares of sparley paper to match your theme put a little scoop of wet sand in the middle and tie it together x
