Hi all, Havent been on for a while as my littleboy turned 1 and I got a bit wrapped up in it all.Anyway im just sorting out my save the dates and I really cant decide whether or not tosend them out to everyone or just the date people. Originally i was just going to send them to the day guests but then thought because its on a friday should I send them out to everyone because of work commitments/booking holiday etc?

    I'm really confusing myself lol!

I would send them to everyone that will be invited because of the day of the week. Although you may want to find a way to differentiate between day and evening.

I've only sent mine out to the daytime guests. I've mentioned the date to some of the evening guests, but they had their evening invite 4 months before the day x

i think if you send them out to everyone they will expect to be invited to the whole thing, i would just play it safe and stick with the day guests. friday evening shouldnt be a problem for alot of people anyway unless they work weekends but if you send your invites out like 4 months before that gives them plenty of time to book time or or change there shift or whatever x

Thanks Ladies, this is my thought susan, Idont want people thinking there invited all day (but not metioning anything tome) and then getting their formal invite and being disappointed. I need conformation of numbers 2 months before(venues request) so im thinking of sending the formals out around 5 months before. what do you think.

I'm still getting used to this sending invitations out months in advance. If you're doing that you can definitely skip save the dates for the evening guests.

I feel so old fashioned but blame it on me growing up in the states. A more formal set of etiquette for weddings is still adhered to by a lot of people out there.
