Ours is working out cheaper, main reason being the guest list is only a fifth of what it would be in the UK, so that's a huge saving. For our flights, 2 week honeymoon, 4 course wedding breakfast for 20' flowers, photographer, transport, dress, clothes and after party in the UK for 100 our budget is coming in around 6K. The biggest chunk of that is flights and hotels. We're going to Cyprus and getting married in Limassol.

Normally they are cheaper purely because they tend to be smaller with fewer guests. Hotels also seem more willing to throw in'extras abroad. I think the packages are cheaper, but this is often tempered by the cost of flights and hotels.

Like lala said ^^ It does depend what sort of wedding you want, you can make a wedding as expensive or cheap as you like no matter where you get married!
We are getting married in Cyprus and the venue I wanted here in the UK would of cost us £8000 for the venue and food! Never mind any of the extras that come with it...decorations/cake/DJ/photographer/transport etc..
Our wedding in Cyprus which includes our holiday (1 week AI Suite with Private pool..) is coming in under £6000 for EVERYTHING!!!! The whole wedding will come in under £8000 with My dress/BMS/Groom Suit etc
We could have done it all for under £6000 if we had a cheaper room! Sarah xx
