I love the suggestion of signed sealed and delivered, that's ace! We're having a qauartet and so far we've only go the entrance music with in aerosmiths don't want to miss a thing. One of the signing ons we thought maybe All you need is love by the beatles. we need at least another one for signing and then the exit. Think I'm letting them choose the music beforehand :) x

you reminded me t check out the quartet's website as they've had it re done. glad I did as they've got a bigger music selection list to choose from - including the one they're doing especialy for us (after our wedding it'll be on their general play list). I keep going back to canon in D major for my entrance, it makes me cry every time I hear it, it is just so special (and not normally what I would pick) Problem is H2B hates it What do I do? Got it on in right now and tears rolling down my cheeks!!!

We had two, violin instrumental versions of Heroes by David Bowie, and Sweet Child o Mine by Guns n Roses. Couldn't tell you if they lasted long enough, I was in such a daze!!!! xx

The registrar told us to have two, but our venue said put four on the cd as she's regularly had to put the music back on again and repeat the two songs. So we're putting a couple of others on just in case.

Then for extras Starship - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now and The Rembrandts - I'll be there for you.

We are having a cd made of string quartet music.. so that will be played in the background. but due to getting married in a country house (mount Edgcumbe) the guest are welcome to wonder around the house & gardens :)

Hi everyone!
I run a string quartet and there are some fantastic choices here! I have no idea what I'll walk down the aisle to yet! I would choose 2-3 songs for the signing - it can be anything. In my experience, some signings go on for ever, and some end really quickly!
If your ceremony musicians are staying for the drinks reception, they should play any of your outstanding requests then. That's what we do.
Just beware that if you are getting married in a secular venue (like me...eventually!) you generally can't have any religious music e.g. Ave Maria, Jesu Joy etc. before or during the ceremony.
Some registrars will allow it, as it's instrumental only, but some will just be plain awkward, so I would definitely check beforehand.
Also, if you are booking live musicians for your ceremony / drinks reception etc. DO NOT go through an agency! The musicians will normally get the same fee whether you book them through an agent or not - the difference is that you'll be paying a couple of hundred pounds extra for them to make a phone call to the group organiser. Believe me! (In my experience of working through agencies anyway.)
