Ok so Pre wedding depression has definitely hit! I found the venue, found the bridesmaid dresses and found my dress, however now my dress maker is pregant and will be giving birth around the time she will need to start making my dress. I've booked into lots of dress salons to try on again. I was looking for a corset and skirt two piece. Apparently brides don't want that. my dress was from******************************** who use victorian patterns, don't think I'll find anything close to what I had. any ideas welcome.

You could always try an online company abroad. A few people have their own designs and just show a picture and usually they can try their best to match it.

Oh bless you hun, thats awful :( Its so upsetting when things get in the way and you get let down. Go to the dress salon and just try every dress on, something else will be perfect - everything happens for reason, that just must not have been your dress. Just don't settle for something and get it and feel like you wish you had something else - keep looking, something will come up! xx

what about finding a wedding dress maker giving her your ideas and get one made for yourself ?

Can't she start it earlier for you? You have leeway with corset tops...
Has your dress maker actually said she won't make it for you? As someone else said she could try start it earlier? If you need alterations later, you have the option of goIng to someone else then. At least the dress you want will b made. And corset tops are better.

Surely she can recommend someone else? If not those styles are very popular in the US so you might want to check out some American corset/dress makers. There is a slight advantage with the exchange rate as well approx $1.60/£1
