You are mad!! lol I love cross stitch but never in a million years would I be able to do what you have done, it would have driven me mad! But they do look lovely, and I hope the guests appreciate how much time and effort has been put in to them, well done :D xxx

i am crazy, but i gave myself plenty of time, and as OH works evening/lates once little legs goes bed, i pretty much have the whole evening to myself.
Even more crazy I am thinking of doing different designs in the cross stitch to sell through the business.
CommentAuthorVelcro
They are lovely, they are very pretty, it's very obvious a lot of effort and care has gone into them :) If you like the 'simple' look then that's what you should go for, as long as you're happy with them it shouldn't matter, I know alot of people arent going to like my invites - even if they turn out like is in my head, but it's what I want, so that's me happy enough :) You could always see what sticking some little fabric flowers or something that matches your theme in one of the bottom corners or something?
I had a nosy at your keyrings too, that is such a fantastic idea!

I love all these, those cross stitches are amazing, I've you think they're too plain, what about adding some sparkles? I personally think they're lovely and add a very personal touch! xx

Aurora, they're beautiful. Mine are really simple.
They're a square of paper folder to make an envelope, name on the front and details on the inside. Stuck down with a seal. Even my wording is simple - "Please be our guests as we say I do!" Then the time, venue, date and link to our website. Then our names and a kiss at the bottom.
I'm trying to do this in as eco-friendly way as possible, so by using the envelope as the invite it saves on paper.
If only life could be one long tea break

Mine are super simple and super cheap. Quite basic ones from vista print. We're on a tight budget but even if we weren't I don't think I'd go too elaborate, it's just not my style.
CommentAuthorShonaR14
I'm getting mine made as I'm not as crafty as i'd like to think and would probably make a mess of them.

Mine were elaborate! check out my album called Invitations! But my whole day is going to be elaborate! A real fairy-tale princess wedding, fireworks, live band and acoustic duo singers.
Everyone has loved them including people who weren't invited. they just wanted an invitation! It made us feel really chuffed! Everyone's really looking forward to coming to our wedding! Unlike our friends wedding on friday where a lot of our friends are just boycotting it because the lads didn't get invited to the stag do. at least ant and I aren't that horrid! I told Ant if anyone did that to us I'd kill them! xx we are still going to our friends wedding and we are looking forward to it

You have your invites how you want them. At the end of the day they are card with info on them to tell me when and where etc. It doesn't matter how simple, fancy they are or how much money was spent. Its your day.
