Wedding Forum - Lots of piccies - We did it... worth a read...

Got married on Sunday and omg we had fun (sense sarchasm) just before the big day.

1. MOH goes out the fri before and gets drugged/spiked. She thought a waiter gave her water... he wasn't a waiter and was puking up and passing out. Good job she didnt drink all of it so still made it to the spa day sat but just slept it off and had another BM watch her like a hawk. On the same day (still sat) my nan refuses to get help getting out of bed (she went for afternoon nap) and fell over. The hotel staff had to pick her up and she is a heavy lady and one ripped his pants haha!

2. Middle of the night/early hours sun morn my mums having panic attack. The second day now I have 2 hours sleep so I start panicking how tired I will be and if there will be bags under my eyes. My mum nearly ends up in hospital as she didn't think it was a panic attack but MOH told her to sort herself out and gave her some jobs.

3. Morning of wedding pretty rushed despite being ok to start. I get my pressie at same time flowers were delivered (so I thought) which were some swarovsky crystal glasses.... I was made up as he had orignally said these were a waste of money. I cried at the card and all this was caught on camera. Then it got rushed so I didnt get any photies of my posing in my dress by the bed or the champers shot. Didnt even get to drink the champers.



4. Got me in my dress 5 mins before ceremony. Almost passed out in dress again but I think it was because she had it too tight and not a panick attack as I couldnt feel my arms. She loosened it but obv I was still worried about this before the ceremony as I was waiting outside. I heard our music and despite wanting to walk slowly, I legged it down the aisle crying my little eyes out. Dave then cries his eyes out after just saying his name when doing the vows and everyone, even the boys, were in floods of tears at the emotion in the room.

5. Photies go well, no big hiccups except couldnt always find the grooms dad as he was in the friggin bar.

6. I found it weird that the photographer then announced we were going back outside for one big group shot. Next thing I know this gorgeous grey/silver audi A1 S line car with a ribbon on it pulls up in front of me.... It took me ages to cotten on as at first I thought it was a guest, then I thought the dog had been delivered to me, then I thought he hired the car and then it dawned on me that it was MY CAR. HE GOT ME A CAR AS A WEDDING PRESSIE. He even had some speical made number plates (shame they are illegal) with our names, venue and date etc on the car. My reaction was priceless apparently.


7. Go up to receiving line and it smelt like someone burned the toast... no my menu had gone on fire! The photographer had literally just legged it out of there carrying the menu. The string quartet had luckily set up in there, noticed and called the photographer bloke who sorted it.

8. Food gorgeous, looked small but we were full and it tasted soooooo great. Speeches again emotional with almost the whole room in tears. Room looked stunning, like out of a fairy tale... large white flowers everywhere. Loved my cake and we also had cupcakes later incase we didnt have enough cake. Proper wedding cake can be seen somewhere here in the background.



9. Took some extra photies (one of our guests) that the photogrpahers may have not had time to do and went to get re-set for the night do. Cant wait to get those photies as they will be amazing. Guests not bothered about room change around time and having too much fun exploring venue and some found the sweet buffet that they had forgotten to announce earlier so were more than made up.

10. Band were amazing, everyone commented on them. Fireworks omg.... we knew they would be good but not that good. People said they were better than all of the displays they had paid to go to.


Overall an amazing but very tiring day. I was done in an hour earlier than I wanted to be. I was glad the buffer was moved to the libary next door as it meant I had a breakaway room for me and any guests that wanted to talk without shouting over the band or who wanted to cool off.

Not got many pics of just us two but when we get the photos back from james and the main photographer I will post these. thanks hun.... we had an amazing time and it was so much fun. Everything that had happened before (some of you will know the horrors after I posted on here, particularly with rings) and I just forgot about all that.

loving all the pictures! your shoes are just dreamy :) and the candy buffet looked great! think you were brave with the caricaturist, some people get really offended lol but looks like it went down a treat!! xxx

theres loads more of guests and the venue... just wish more guests would post their piccies of me and david up as there are very few of the two of us until we get our special guest and the main photographer to give us theirs :(

thank you little kettle... I want to do it all again. We had so much fun. It feels weird now we are married and going to get joint accounts and everything. Looking forward to the honeymoon now.

it took 27 months haha. We were worried people wouldnt notice the details and all the thought that went in to it but luckily enough people did so we were pleased the hard work paid off

thanks hun..... I wonder if anyone else had all that drama on the morning of their wedding... I really thought it was a bad omen at first but then everything else just fell into place :) And now we are finally married woooo

thanks natalie... just leave subtle messages of pressies you like on the fridge haha. I still cant believe he did it. We even started talking about what car we would buy in march when we were more flush for cash... I didnt know he had already done it. He said it was fun tho trying to buy a car without a drivers liscence and had to get his bro to test drive them.... he cant drive due to issues with his eye sight.
