This might sound silly but while looking at invitations etc i have found order of service cards, so have lots of questions as im a bit confused....
1. I thought this was just for church wedding so the names of the hymns go in it? 2. Do i need an order of service for a civil ceremony? 3. Do i need hymns at a civil ceremony? Were both not religious. 4. What goes in it? 5. Can i not have one?
I know thats a lot of questions, sorry, i just don't know ANYTHING about what it is...
Thanks girls x

i had a pack but dosn't explain anything about order of services. I just don't know why you need cards for them. Whats the service? the ceremony bit or the whole day? x

No you dont need one. Order of service are normally only used in Church weddings and have the words of hymns, prayers and readings in them so that the guests know what is going on. In a civil ceremony or registry office wedding you aren't allowed anything that is religious, so dont tend to have any hymns. Those who do decide to do order or service for civil ceremonys tend to put a timed breakdown of the day in instead. But in my opinion, they aren't needed unless you really want them. Hope that helps :) xxx
