I am getting wed at Polhawn Fort in Cornwall, its a gorgeous fort situated on the cornish coast with its own little piece of beach, which looks more like a rocky cove. I thought with Cornwall being rich with history of smuggling it would be a great idea to incorporate it into the wedding, a lot of people have done the beach theme and its great but I just want something a bit different, I will be choosing a vintage style dress, my colours are a rich royal blue and gold, not a blingy gold but an almost vintage latte kinda colour, know what I mean?
Anyhow, I am going to have a wild natural look to my flowers and thought they would look nice set on driftwood arrangements, I am thinking of smuggling and thinking boats, rope, goblets, net, etc, I don't want to turn this into a pirate fancy dress, though I am going to have my own home made photo booth that will include pirate props.
I just think I'm a little stuck now, a lot of items smuggled according to history were tobacco, wool, booze etc, so I could use beer barrels maybe but don't really want packs of cutters around my venue or sheep for that matter, how can I do this and create an atmosphere without it being a pirate joke
