Having talked things through we have decided to postpone the wedding for a bit, so we can work things out and see when we could save instead of using the monies we already had put away for a house.. It does make sense and i'm glad we will only lose a little bit on the venue deposit instead of alot more!! I am a little sad because of having that to look forward to but this way we can have the wedding we want and a day which is just ours, not stressful or missing out on the things we need to make it work! Being a grown up is really boring haha! Think our initial date in 2015 is more realistic so i'll aim for that! Will still be bobbing on for the best advice from you gorgeous brides and grooms to be

Better to do it later and get what you want, than rushing around and making cutbacks :) Glad you didn't lose out on too much money!
The boy was dead set on next year for us, but he finally saw the light and agreed to the year after, we just won't be able to afford it, and it's such a relief knowing we have time to get money under our belts and have it how we want(though im still grumbling about the whole cost haha)
I know how you feel about being a boring grown up too! We need a new bathroom and kitchen, and he said yesterday, shall we just concentrate on the wedding first. No thomas, it needs done! I swear he should be the woman in our relationship!
