I don't really wear heels often and have an irregular foot size, I am a five in flats and yet have to wear a 4 1/2 in heels, which is part of the dilemma, I can't find any nice punky shoes in half sizes. Normally to get around this is to have shoes with a strap but one of the pairs I really want doesn't have a strap and have a higher heel than I normally wear. I don't know if there's some way of adding ribbon or something to make a strap without damaging the shoe? The other pair are lush and I really like them, but scared the spikes on them might damage my dress. I'm thinking of giving up on heels and maybe just going with some trusty old Docs in either Red or Black (our colours) and personalising them -what do you think?
Picks of the shoes are in my photo album titled Shoes.
    Thanks

I agree with you about the spikes (I've got experience by wearing new rocks with buckles on the side while wearing my gourgious ankle length coat :/)

As for half-sizes, have you considered TUK? They generally come up small so you may want to try beore you buy, but they do some awesome shoes in half sizes.

Love the first pair, are they irregular choice?

I think this may work, on the bay you can get clear straps that go over the foot
You would not see them and they would stay on your feet

I love the the first ones but they are incredibly high;i know that i would struggle to stand in them let alone walk! When i was a bit younger i lived in my docs and was adamant that i would be wearing them on my wedding day but that was nearly 20 years ago now.I did however get a bit of a pang whilst out shopping for shoes and saw all the beautiful docs you can get now (mine were the grungier the better lol) Could you not get some docs custom painted in a similar design to the high heel shoes? I love the shiny red docs by the way xxx

You could probably take the spikes off and replace them with something else if they leave holes? Or with the white heels you could put some insoles in them, that tends to make shoes a lot tighter.

I know in soles work as suggested by LegoBride, or heel grips. And with a peeptoe you might be able to wear a 4 as I find I am usually a half size smaller in peep toe.

Schuh stock the first ones (not sure about the second) so might be worth going in to try them on just so you dont rule them out unnecessarily

Thank you ladies, I think I'll go try them on, but really like the idea of having some docs persoanilsed -at least then I won't fall flat on my arse if it snows or on any ice ha ha.
    I'll keep you posted :)

I actually love the ones with the ankle strap, so much so I'm on the bay searching or them, ha! I think they'd make a nice contrast with a wedding dress, whereas the other may be a slightly different shade to your dress.

Are you having an underskirt/hoop? If you are then your actual dress will be fine. Also shoe spikes are normally just for show & not very sharp so they stick into anything.

For what its worth I have funny sized feet too so I'm going with flats as like you unless I have an ankle strap on heels my feet end up slipping out. That coupled with a big dress = fallen over bride! Xx

The first shoes are iron fist i think, i nearly bought them just because they were gorgeous! Order them and try some inner soles with them, if not theres some websites that personalise docs i found them when i was looking for personalised converse x x

Well ladies, I went to go try on the two shoes and found another pair I liked whilst I was there too. Because I knew I could never decide and I thought it'd be nice if my H2B chose at least one thing I would be wearing on our wedding day (and he would be paying for them lol). In the end he made a very good choice I think (though there are some very nice pairs of shoes out there that need adding to my small collection after going into our new shoe shop in town called SHUCH who sell lots of quirky shoes -thank god I have to go to bristol if I want alternative things normally).
I won't keep you in supense....I'm going to be very tall he he.

I'm reallly glad that H2B chose these :) I'm as tall as my sis in them and almost on Chris' eye level instead of being under his chin, which means that I can look him in the eyes during our vows without getting a crick neck lol...now I've just got to break them in ha ha.

I was about to say Iron Fist do half sizes, so the size down would work, but then I scrolled down and saw those lovely shoes, he did very well, massive pat on the back for the boy! I bought some glow in the dark zombie stompers.

I think I'llbe getting some funky irregular choice ones in blue for my big day, I might end up with several pairs though, I can resist anything but shoes!

*Brideintraining & Velcro) I got my shoes from SHUCH, which is a new shop in Bath, I'm not sure if there are others stores but you can get the shoes from BLUE BANANA as well (my homeland lol) which has quite a few shops up and down the country. Both are at SHUCH and BLUE BANANA :).
I am so proud of him, the boy knows me so well :) xx

Shuch is a nationwide company. They do lots of brands. Also havea bay of e Shuch shop. I love Iron Fist and Irregular choice. Prob is I can't walk in some of my IC shoes very well. I have wide feet and they hurt if I;m stood in them too long, so I have dinner/sit down shoes and ones I can wear out. Going to attempt the ones above on Sun for my friends 30th birthday which will be a mixture.

I know these kill as I have wide feet but quite narrow heels compare to the ball of my feet and just because I'm not used to their height lol, but I'm hoping that wearing them around the house will sort that out. I am only going to wear them for the ceremony and photos and then changing into my trusty docs :) xx

I have same prob. Wide feet. I have some of the Irregular choice Miaow boots, and they are a really good fit. So comfy as well. They have a nice thick heel so I don't feel like I'm gonna break my neck :D

Have a look at any British shoe makers as they do half sizes all foreign shoe makers don't do halfs.

Hope you get what your looking for, BTW love the first pair of shoes.
