Ok, I'm trying to figure out what music to have in the church. I know I need music for the following:

    - People gathering in the church
    - Me walking down the isle
    - Something whilst we are signing the registry
    - Leaving the church

    Anything else?

Also, what are people having? I'm thinking something traditional with the organ but apart from that I haven't got a clue!!

You pretty much have it covered, only as we found out on our day, you'll need more than one for the mingling music and the signing of the register - thankfully our organist just decided to wing it after our choices had finished!

    we had:

Intro music: Finale from “Music for The Royal Fireworks” – G.F. Handel

Bridal procession: The Bridal Chorus – R. Wagner (Lohengrin)

Registration of the Marriage: Hornpipe from The Water Music Suite – G.F. Handel

Exit Procession: Trumpet Prelude from Te Deum – M Charpentier

We went for a marriage preparation day at the church where the organist gave us a list of what he could play easily, so then we could pick from that - which actually sounds pretty practical! Maybe you should ask yours first in case they have any ideas?

    Cheers for your reply.

We had our wedding preparation day months ago and were given a booklet which covered pretty much everything except processional music, it just says to let the church and the organist know as soon as possible. Not a lot of help!

Cheers for putting what you had, I'm going to find them on the internet and have a good listen :-)

We haven't picked ours yet however I have a few ideas:

    - People gathering in the church - Pachebel's Cannon (I personally can't stand it for weddings as so many people have it but this way H2B can have it without me needing to hear it)
    - Bridal Processional - a choice of either, Ave Maria, Bach's Prelude in C mjr (piano but can be nice on organ), Zadok the Priest (Handel - just the opening section)
    - Signing the register - Jesu Joy Of Mans Desiring
    - Recessional - Arrival of the Queen of Sheba (Handel)

Problem is my sister and I are classically trained pianists so there is a lot of music we know and love but whether the organist can play them is another matter lol. So the list above is subject to change.
We also need to pick hymns at some point.

Hope you find something you like xx

If it helps, here's the other pieces that our organist said he could play quite easily as they're also frequently used at weddings:

Trumpet Voluntary (Prince of Denmark's March) - Jeremiah Clarke
    Trumpet Tune - Henry Purcell
    Trumpet Voluntary - John Stanley
    Fanfare - Henry Purcell

I emailed the organist (got his address from the vicar) and once I'd chosen, I arranged to meet him after a Sunday service so he could play them for me on the organ (most of the recordings you hear online are cathedral type organs, so the resulting acoustics can be very different when you hear them on a church organ) - and I had some hymns in mind that I'd only ever heard on piano so wanted reassurance they'd work on the organ :-)

I like the Jeremiah clarke trumpet voluntary but it was Princess Di's and Prince Charles' processional and also isn't romantic enough for me walking down. I want the grand music for the recessional ;)
Same of all of them actually, I love them all just not for me walking down the aisle lol. I'm so picky :S

I know, that's why I wanted the Trumpet Prelude for us walking down the aisle as husband and wife - I'd have loved Widor's Toccata from Symphony No. 5 but as it wasn't on the list I daren't ask for it from our organist haha! If you have a choir it would be fantastic if they launched into Handel's Hallelujah as you left the church!
