Thick socks, pop them on while doing the ironing and pottering about the house. You can also get things like party feet and memory foam cushions for places they are especially uncomfortable x

Depends where it is they are hurting you?...u can get the shoe stretchers (like horn shaped things) which you slip into your shoes...there is also a relaxer type spray thing get that from any good shoe shop i recon...and i have heard about stuffing newspaer really tight inside - the problem there being that the print may stain a light coloured shoe..so best not to try that idea x

How are they uncomfortable? is it the height or are they rubbing somewhere? if they are tight around the toes you could wrap potatoes in newspaper and stuff them down in to them when you are not wearing them and as ataraxia has mentioned wear thick socks with them when you are doing jobs around the house, also remember to wear them outside to make sure they are not slippy on the day. party feet are great for stopping the burning soles but not if the shoes are tight around around the toes as they make them tighter. I am going to buy some other flat shoes for the evening as i know my feet will be killing me after a few hours lol xx

Once I put a sandwich bag full of water into some new trainers and put them in the freezer lol. It worked, but they were trainers and they were dark so probably best not :P

Thick socks and heat: Put on thick socks and squeeze your feet into the shoes. Heat the tight area of the shoes using a hairdryer and bend your feet back and forth as much as you can for 20-30 seconds. Remove the heat source but leave the shoes on until cooled. Try the shoes on with your normal socks or stockings. Repeat until the shoes have stretched enough. Once stretched, apply leather shoe conditioner to restore the moisture that might have been depleted by the heat.

(depending on the fabric tho) x

if its the heal put vaseline on then keep bending it with your fingers... this tends to help my shoes that are tight on the heals... if its the toes i'd do the potatoe thing x

What a waste of a potato lol.

I heard ice bags work quite well, put them in the shoe when they're water and put them in the freezer when the bag freezes it expands the shoe. But then like Tsukijin said that might do bad stuff to the shoe depending on the material.

I would recommend using the leather stretcher spray (works for all types of material not just leather) as suggested in one of the above posts. Spray in the inside of the shoes and wear straight away. This should help to stretch the shoes where it's tight. Also if you can sit and knead the shoes whilst watching tv this should help to soften the shoes and prevent them rubbing.

i got a pair that were a size too small and tried to put a potato in the top but then just got the bigger size.

just wore them all the time in the house and now they are dead comfortable :)

i think you get set in people telling you to wear them in so much you worry about it, but at the end of the day, when i usually buy a new pair of shoes, i never worry about it!

oh the above was about my 'night shoes' my day shoes i wore about 2 times before the day and i was absolutely fine :)

    xx
