Right, so I'm literally about to order the stamp for our save the dates. The stamp has room for three lines: the top and bottom are large font and the middle line is a lot smaller. The examples on their website are as follows:
Line 1: Name of couple Line 2: Celebrate their wedding Line 3: Date of wedding
As these are for save the dates, I obviously want to put that on the front, but I can't decide whether to put:
A)
Line 1: Jo & Chris Line 2: Save The Date Line 3: 22nd June 2013
or
B)
Line 1: Save The Date Line 2: Jo & Chris Line 3: 22nd June 2013
Alternatively, I could contact the company and see if they'll just do a two line version that just says 'Save the Date' plus the date as I'm putting text on the back of the card with a few more details.
So should I go with A or B? Or just do two lines instead? Or any other suggestions?!
Thanks! xx

We literally did cards with the stamp on the front and out more detail on the back.
We didnt put 'save the date' on the stamp. Ours said:
Emma & Paul Are Getting Hitched 13.10.12
On the back it said where, when and to save the date
Hope this helps

I've just uploaded our Save The Dates onto my wall to give you some idea of what I'm up to. It's work in progress, but they're cheap to do as well.

Oh I didn't even think of that MrsA2B - I like that idea!
Hails - Unfortunately, I've already pre-bought the card to fit the stamp size - if I get I add an extra line it will be bigger in size and won't fit my card :-( Really wish I'd thought about it more before getting all my sizing and ordering sorted! But thank you :-)
Clive - your save the dates are lovely! I'm not very creative so a pre-designed stamp on some card is the best I can do lol.
They are so easy to make, honestly. All you need is some coloured card (about 300gsm) to suit your colour scheme, some coloured raffia or string, a guillotine, a pair of scissors and your imagination!!
The words "save", "date", "dear" and guests names are done in a font called farafone bold. "the", "liz and clive", etc is a font called uglyqua. The address (printed on reverse) is a font called chalkduster, which should be preinstalled on your machine.
Farafone and uglyqua are both downloadable. I'llPut some links on your wall in a sec xxx

I like B :)
heathalyn - Save the Dates are so everybody has an idea when your wedding will be, well in advance so they can book it off work etc! Then the invitation follows nearer the time x

Thanks for the all the advice ladies! I wish I'd logged back on here last night before I ordered them as we went with option A in the end (H2B made the decision - which I am very grateful for, although I think he was just getting fed up with my indecisiveness lol) and the stamps arrived today. The Save The Date is actually bigger than I originally thought it would be which is a relief, so it all worked out in the end! Once again, thanks for all your advice and Clive - I stumbled across a similar idea online when I was trying to find an a better example of the card colour we've ordered, they are utterly gorgeous save the dates - wish I'd come across them sooner before we'd decided on this!
