Wedding Forum - My table set up...............too much???...

Ok Ive been thinking of my tables and Im not sure if I have too much going on so I need your help!

GUESTS TABLES
All the tables are round with a tall black lily vase in the middle with red roses in.

These will be sat on an organza black table runner going down the middle of each table with a few clear scatter crystals on it and 4 tea lights going round the vase.
Then the table name in a little frame

Then each place setting will have the usuall plates cutlery etc with the favour at the top of the plate in a black box with ivory lace and a red rose embellishment on along with a double name tag on like this..

So the front tag will have the guests name on then the second tag will have each huests menu choice so they are reminded of what they are having (not decided if giving a choice yet but if not then there will be ONE menu on each table in the middle opposite the table name in the same frame)
Kids will have these
and a little box of activity on their chairs
Then the guests napkins will be rolled up with a black pearl napkin ring holding it together with a matching glass charm on the wine glass (there will be a small black box IN the wine glass saying napkin ring and glass charm, take me home).

On the plates will be.....

With a silk red rose laid across it. (kinda like the flower in the picture)

The chairs will have a red rose flower arrangement in the sashs kinda like this

but the cover will be black and the sashs ivory

So what do you think?

WOW. Really wish I had joined this forum sooner, and stolen your theme idea!! It looks AMAZING, I agree that the tables don't necessarily need the organza runners. Love the centrepeices, and the Mr and Mrs lettering, it's going to look fab hon!

CEREMONY TABLE
Will have the just married wooden letters like the ones in the picture above and my bouquet

CAKE TABLE
Will have black scatter crystals, the cake and one of these on the side
with the swagging and twinkle lights


Theres also a vintage table type thing with my bird cage post box, mirror table plan and guest book tree on but cant find the pictures at the moment lol
(there are in my planning thread tho if you want to look)

white chair covers with a black sash and red rose clip would look amazing, could look too dark all black depends how light the room is, just looked and i agree with your h2b i think it would be a bit too dark

I think it all looks incredible hunny, i would have to agree with the table runner tho - im not a fan of table runners in circular tables, but thats possible my OCD for circles! lol xxx i love the colour scheme you have xx very classy and timeless xxx

Ok been talking to the other half tonight and we have changed things around a bit :-)

Right so we are going to get rid of the table runners on the guests tables completly as well as the thank you's on the plates and leaving the red roses on them instead as this is part of my theme.
We are ging to go back to the original plan and use the roses as the name tags so they will hold the double name tags like described above which means the favour boxes will just have the lace and a little red paper rose on.
Then the thank you's will be reworded slightly and they will go onto the CD covers we are sending as part of the thank yous after the wedding instead!

Yes Hails - i think that sounds much better. Glad you are keeping the roses at guests places, and a much better idea of having them as the place names too :) xx

God you have been busy and LOVE ur ideas.

No alot have commented already and so glad to read the re arraged plan totally prefer new place setting idea (tables can get so clutted so you really need to concer that (things like the ectra glasses people will bring form the bar, ladies clutch bags, peoples cameras etc)

And def think cream chair covers with black sashes but all ur ideas look amazing just not sure it wouldnt of been to much xx

You have some fab ideas and i love the colour scheme. I'm wanting table runners but nothing too colourful so i was thinking of ivory lace, this may go really nice with your theme? I'm going to look in charity shops for mine :) xx

I love the wooden letters. In my opinion the tables look better without the table runners. :)

An idea for your chair covers...I saw a picture on the web of someone's reception and they had one chair cover black with a white sash then the one next to it was a white chair cover with a black sash and it alternated like that, it looked really good x x
