I badly wanted calla lilies for my bouquet/bridesmaids/buttonholes- however, just been quoted £19-£23 for a calla lily buttonhole - omg!! Didn't wait to find out what the bouquet would cost!

Another florist I've just rang has tried to convince me to go for roses instead as they'll be the cheapest at £90 for a small bouquet and £9 for buttonholes - are these normal prices for flowers? I am actually shocked!!

Where are you based? Are they real or fake?
If ur from the north east i know an excellent company that do faux flowers and theyre only £5 for a callalilly button hole.
Bouquet wise she rangs from £20 - 50 (£50 being like SUUUUUUUUUPER BIG!)
I do think theyre very overpriced but it depends where you're based.

    SILK all the way!!
Much cheaper but still look real if you go to the right ones (I have a few faboulous ones if you want the links)
the first lady I went to qouted me £240 for EVERYTHING (MINE, X4 BRIDESMAIDS, 4 SINGLE BUTTON HOLES, 4 DOUBLE BUTTONHOLES, 2 TRIBLE CORSAGES, TOP TABLE ARRANGEMENT AND A THROWING BOUQUET) and they looked soooooo real!
so there are good ones out there hunni including real, just depends what you want and your budget!

Wow, that is expensive!! My grooms buttonhole is calla lilly, think that was £5, my bouquet is £100 approx for calla lillies. The BMs are having roses, think they were approx £60 each, carnations bh for the men £2.50 (and she is doing a silk one for my grandad who has COPD), and then 4 white orchid things for two mums and two grandmas. Altogether it came to less than £300 I think. I would shop around at that. Maybe you could make your own throwing bouquet? It would add a nice personal touch xx

My heart sank when I saw the topic! Flowers is something I am dreading... I don't have a clue about flowers so have a feeling it will be easy to rip me off. Think I may just stick with roses. but I have been cutting out pictures of bouquets that I like as I know there will be cheaper flowers that could bulk it up.

Im too having either silk or foam roses, with a few crystals and butterflies within (looks a lot better than sounds) Im paying £150 for:
    1x bridal
    5x Bmaids
    3x mums corsages
    7x buttonholes

Think £150 is the price, might be slightly more due to adding an extra bmaid.
Im having pure royal blue, bridesmaids are having white :)

my neighbour has a calla lily growing in her front garden, but it just has three flowers on it, not really enough for a wedding!...H2B has suggested a trip to the garden centre to see if I can cultivate my own plants in the next few weeks before the wedding...hmm!
