Wedding Forum - Our Big Day - June 9th 2012!!...

We finally did it!!!

I'm so pleased to say that everything come together nicely for us yesterday and it all went really well.

I slept ok the night before at my Mum and Dads, but i did wake up at 5.30 and couldn't go back to sleep. The time between then and 10 when my hairdressers appointment seemed like forever. I was really pleased with my hair and makeup & it looked how i wanted it too (i hadn't tried the hair and makeup with the dress before). We came back from the hairdressers at about 11.30 and my bridesmaids made me have something to eat. We then did makeup and got into our dresses, which was soooo exciting & the photographer turned up just as we were finishing getting ready. We had a few professional photos at the house and then it was time to leave for the church.

The service was really nice, but felt like it lasted about 5 mins. We did the photos after the service and this was fine apart from it was a bit windy, but the photographer said he has still got some nice shots despite this.

We then went back to the reception hall for the wedding breakfast which was sooooo lovely and people kept saying how much they enjoyed it which I was really pleased about. Chris' speech went well (he was really nervous about the speech).

The evening entertainment started about 8 and we had the evening buffet at about 9, the dance floor was full all night which i was really pleased about and the dads got more than a bit tipsy & were enjoying themselves. We left just after 12 for a night in a local hotel which was lovely and got back about lunch time today. We now have a few days at home before going away for a week.

All in all, it was a brilliant day and i wouldn't change anything about it. I have uploaded the first few photos i have into my album if you want to have a look. I think it'll be a couple of weeks before we get the professional ones back, but a few have been appearing on f book today.

I am really going to miss looking at this forum for ideas & inspirations for my wedding!!!
