well today h2b turned round and asked me how I would feel about getting married in mexico then just having a small do when we get back. to be honest I really dont know i love the thought of getting married in mexico and without any hassle just ashame that friends and family couldnt afford to come too but now the more i think about it the more i love the idea of it and maybe just have a small registry office wedding when we get back and a little knees up just so the little ones still get to be bridesmaids its really got me confuddled as now I dont know what to plan for or even to bother planning much at all x

I say a massive YES... mainly because that's what we are doing!
We have just started planning for our blessing & party when we get back which my family now all call my second wedding as it will be in a church with my dress & bridesmaids etc - a smaller version of a wedding! In our case we see it as the best of both worlds & everyone's happy - my family get the church wedding & we get the intimate abroad wedding :)

If you make a list of pros & cons then you can weigh them up. Everything ticked the boxes for us but everyone is different lol. I know mexico is a slight bit more complicated to be married there out of anywhere else - have you done some research hun?

I just remember that you have to have blood tests & other things to be married in mexico but plenty of people do it so it can't be that complicated! You will join our Weddingmoon club if you do lol :D

In order to get a marriage license in Mexico, there are indeed requirements: Valid passport (valid for the bride, groom and the 4 witnesses) Tourist Cards (which you will receive while entering the country) (valid for the bride, groom and the 4 witnesses) Apostille certified birth certificates for Bride & Groom
If applicable, final Record of Divorce If applicable, Death Certificate Health certificate and blood test provided by a Mexican Official
so its not too bad xx

Our plan B was to get married in disney florida but when it came down to it h2b's dad was being a pain in the arse and then became ill so wouldnt have been able to be there. Which pretty much made h2b change his mind about the whole running away to get married as he doesnt want to unless his parents and brother are there!
If you dont mind certain members of the family or even friends not being able to attend because of costs etc then go for it! Just make sure you dont regret it if you do deside and people you wished were there arent able to come!

Anastacia our wedding was booked for july 2013 hun but it would be sept 2013 we would go to mexico then just have a winter time blessing xx
Hails it would of just been my brother, cousin aunty and little cousins there as i dont get on with my mam and lost my dad in november so im not too fussed about them not being there aslong as mil and fil are there and my son thats all that matters to us as the rest can all come to the blessing and reception when we have that xx

they probably wont Hails but over the past few month since my dad died ive realised who matter most to me so i wouldnt be bothered if they didnt want to come thats why we were going to have a blessing and stuff when we got back that way they could still all be part of it and none of them will feel left out xx

That's the way I feel, brilly. Since planning the wedding I've realised who matters and who bloody doesn't.
There are going to be 14 of us in Cyprus and I swear I wouldn't care if we never had the blessing back home. I keeping thinking about who to invite to it and I can't think of 180 people I actually like!! Haha.
