I need to pick up some things for the kids table to keep them entertained throughout the day and in the evening.

Have babies to 16 year olds coming. Any suggestions? Going to pop to the range later on so will see what they have. Don't want anything too messey but has to be fun, does that exsist?!

Colouring books? I think you can get kids activity packs, they might be worth a look.
Will the 16 year olds be on the kids table? They're old enough to be sat on a table without entertainment x

i've just popped into town and picked up a few notebooks, pencils, building blocks & sticker books.

Thinking that the crayola books with the magic pens are the way forward, will have a little look for them at the weekend.

I bought a small ball pool for babies which went down well was only £20 and made up party boxes for the others which kept them out of trouble while we were waiting to eat. Not to put you off or anything but I feel I must mention that we had 1 table for all of the kids from age 5 to 14 (8 in total) the children are usually very polite and well behaved but as soon as they were sat together for the meal they ran riot! running across the room to their parents, moaning that they wanted to sit with their mum and dad or telling tales on one another. It was madness! and if I could have my day again the only thing I would change is I would not have a kids table! X

glad this post is here, These are really great ideas, i was wondering what was best to do. I have a number of kids coming aged 4-14 cant really say no kids as my sister and brother are both under 16.
Think im going to have them sit with parents with colouring books and lucky bags for the day, and some games for them at night.

Ive left them sitting with their parents and have done activity boxes for them that will include different things depending on age.
    Ive got
Colouring books and pens/crayons/pencils (depending on age)
    Cross stitch
    Making finger puppets
    Making face masks
A disposiable camera with list of things to find or some pictures to colour of things to find (depending on age) for a photo hunt (See photo hunt thread on here)
    balloons
    party hats
and a few other bits and bobs I'll get as I see them
Ive also got them little buckets with retro sweets in as their favours and giant games for outside and MAYBE my mums bounchy castle if the venue say yes :-)

I was going to just print off some actvity sheets and colouring pages you find on the net, then get a huge box of colours, hoping they will be entertained by the music too. xx
