    Just need a massive vent!

I'm in a bad mood re wedding things anyway as one of the diamonds has fallen out of my engagement ring today and I've lost it completely. Hopefully we can get it replaced with the warrenty h2b luckily bought with it... I've had it less than a year!

Then I asked h2b to ask his sister why she had said she wasn't coming to my hen night... his stag is on the same night and shes putting in 110% into organizing that, and she suddenly has 'other plans' on that night.. funny that. mil2b isn't on facebook so h2b called her and asked if she wanted to come to mine, and she's saying she doesn't know, she probably won't come to bingo but might to the meal and is demanding to know a time, even though we are just going after bingo, and we aren't set to a time, its just whenever we arrive!

So he asks his dad if he's coming on his stag, and his dad has just point out said no, h2b said he's not bothered but its his sons stag do! even if it was just for one drink, but no.

Just feeling deflated as we're trying to include them all in the day as much as possible even though I don't even really like family dymanics (my family are really close, theirs not so much and makes me feel awkward). We're having both sets of parents give us away instead of just my dad (thinking of changing it to just my dad), h2b's neice is flowergirl, h2b's sister is doing a reading, and her husband is his best man! All of his immediate family are included, yet don't even pay an interest to the stag do, or my hen do!

    Really frustrated!!!!
    xx

Oh hun! Big hug! It sounds really frustrating.

Just remember, it's your wedding and those who are the most special and matter the most to you will be there for you. Weddings are difficult and bring out all sorts of family issues, the thing we learnt with my sisters wedding last year is to do what you (the bride and groom) want to do and have, have your perfect day and forget about trying to include and satisfy everyone else because you will never make everyone else happy. At least that way you will be able to look back and say "I did it my way and won't change a thing".

You'll probably have a better time without them anyway!

    xxx

my oh families like that, his mother is so annoying and always tries to put us down about the wedding! and other things too like our sons third birthday 2 years ago she knows the date and could have easily changed her shift or booked the day off but didnt bother so we had to do something extra just for her! it does get to me but i know how much my h2b is looking forward to the wedding so thats all that matters i know she wont come abroad for the weekend for my 1st hen and she prob wont bother coming to the meal the night before the wedding same with h2b sister in law shes so boring! lol just enjoy yourself its your day no one elses xx
