Hi ladies! My colour theme is ivory and champagne with a little bit of gold, so thought I would start up a thread so that all the brides with this colour scheme in mind could pop ideas or bargains they have found on here for us all to look at! Happy planning! xxx

Well I haven't got much yet as I still have over 2 years to go! But did get these off the bay, 100 for £17.99. They are wooden roses and I will be using them as place settings by tieing a name tag to them with some gold ribbon :)

I have also made these too, but the photos dont do them justice. The beads are pearls and the hearts are a dull silver. I have made just shy of 200 of them and they worked out at 12p each to make! xxx

    Hi,

We're aout to book our venue for 30/11/13 and we're having a winter themed gold/ivory wedding. My sister absolutely hates the idea of wearing a gold bridesmaid dress and keeps saying it'll make her skin look yellow!! I think it's a really lovely and elegant colour scheme :-)

I think she is wrong, gold brings out a lovely warmth to skin tones.......

I wanted a winter wonderland wedding.......but H2B wanted summer and he won. and I would have loved all the colours of christmas, reds golds.....I think it sounds perfect

Ah thanks :-) To be honest it was quite a big decision to completely rule out the idea of a summer wedding - it's a shame we can only have one "big day"! I'd quite like a wedding for each season!

    Hi ladies...

My theme is vintage pastel blue and champagne/ivory and my 4 bridesmaids are in 2 different dresses. 2 dresses are champagne and 2 are ivory and champagne. They are all dark haired and fair skinned and the colour looks lovely on all of them! I got 2 from Dbnhams - £60 in the sale and the other 2 from Qu1z for £50 each. Found some beautiful crochet lace champagne shoes from 'Nu Luk' which match all dresses and were a bargain at just £25 each.

It's a lovely colour scheme in my opinion and you can mix and match different shades so easily! xx

Lovely arent they.....As they are £25 I might have to buy them for the girls......which i will do. but One girl in particular doesnt want to wear heals.....so I might need to look for some that are the same but smaller heel for her.

That is them! They also have the exact same ones in Br@ntano!! They are a little higher than a couple would've liked but they all love them and as my dress is lacy, they're perfect!!

I'm trying to get as much light gold in so that I don't go overboard on the red, worried I'm going to get the balance wrong!

I started off with champagne and ivory, but the party looked a bit washed out in gold/ivory dresses (all blonde and very pale), so I've changed things round and I'm now having coral and champagne, and it all looks absolutely beautiful together.

That sounds like a lovely colour scheme honeypie! I am starting to wonder if I should add a little bit of colour to mine too. One of my bridesmaids is half cast so the colour suits her perfectly, but the other is blonde, pale skin, and blue eyed so im not sure champagne will wash her out? xxx
