Wedding Forum - Our hidden Rainbows....

Okay so when people look at me and my W2B they actually think we are twins not gay. Scary but hey ho i guess its the way things go.

So with this we decided for our wedding we wanted tradition on the outside but gay deep down (like us) Soo we are attacking this with full force.
Rainbow Cake (see album) covered in white icing, Then 6 Tiers of cupcakes behind with rainbow coloured icing.
We are wearing rainbow socks with our wedding shoes,
Rainbow ribbon on our bouquets,( but underneath so it wont be seen whilst held)
Rainbow Ribbon on the favours,
Rainbow added onto the guestbook & hopefully Signing frame if we can work out how to do it.


Now what else can i attack with colour? Not even the MOH knows that rainbow is attacking the wedding aha :)

We was going to have Happy Roses but as our florist friend is doing them as a wedding gift we didnt want to take the pee as they are really expensive per head.

I will be uploading our rainbow touches after the big day :) I would make everything rainbow'd if i could

sounds fab ladies... erm rainbow stickers for the sole of your shoes like the "i DO" but in rainbow stones :) will keep thinking cap on thou .. xx

Happy roses are multicolour roses... I'd speak to your local florist about them as they're only £3.50 each here.... xx

Our local florist is a friend of ours there for we have all our flowers for free. For 12 here is about £50 so it was just easier to ask for cheaper flowers:) It was only fair

You can get cheap colour rainbow markers from stationery shops, you can add little rainbows to peoples napkins or corner of name places if you have them - some brilliant ideas though above though, especially the roses - love it and loving the cake

Sounds absolutely amazing! Can't wait to see pics. Think rainbow theme will give it a real happy atmosphere too! The multicoloured roses are gorgeous and they dry very well too- my best mate got some from her bf and dried them over the radiator- they still look gorgeous!
You could have brightly coloured sweetie favours like smarties or M+Ms?

Okay we went to our florist friend today and took our rainbow ribbon. She is now adding a bow to our BQ's plus little hoops in between flowers etc so im super excited about how its going to look.

A cousin saw the ribbon we was handing over so im going to bully him tonight to make sure he doesnt tell anyone.

Over the next few days i need to find a signing frame which isnt ideal tbh as we are super skint and dont get paid again now until 2 days after the wedding. So typical, then i think i will ask people to sign there name in different coloured pens. Our signing frame will be place around our fingerprint tree so i think it would work nicely instead of people signing there finger :) I will start taking photos of the added extras we are having for our day and will upload them over the next week or so.

That is one stunning cake hun! Just had a sneeky peek at the pix.

Afraid I'm not being very creative at the moment, I can't think of anything rainbow apart from that childrens programme I watched as a kid in the 80's, although I think it was a 70's programme .............Jeffrey, Zippy, Bungle and George lol.

Sorry, creative brain cells gone to sleep. I do love everyones ideas on here though, the roses are so pretty xx

hahaha dreamland, i think i might get admitted to a cookoo place if i tell my W2B that idea haha. She already thinks im a loony.

After all the hassle of our favours we have just scraped them.. the last 2 hours i have been faffing about with a vase some ribbon and our sweets and think we have got something than we can deal with, It's not perfect but my back is killing me so it will have to do now :)

Please excuse the winnie the pooh puzzle underneath it... oh and our rainbow socks ahha!

Wow, it's all coming together and not long to go now!

I saw a feature in one of the bridal mags and one bride had all her bridesmaids dress in different colours so it was like a rainbow and they had bouquets to match their dress colour, it was really pretty.

I've also seen a pic of a short wedding dress and the under skirt layers were all different colours which looked really cool.
